Dangerous chemicals: refer to highly toxic chemicals and other chemicals with toxic, corrosive, explosive, flammable, and combustible properties that pose a threat to human health, facilities, and the environment.
Hazardous chemicals, due to their varying degrees of explosive, flammable, toxic, corrosive, radioactive and other hazardous properties, require special protection in storage and preservation, unlike other general substances.
Dangerous chemicals are different from ordinary chemicals, and there are specific principles for storage:
1. The storage of hazardous materials must comply with national laws, regulations, and other relevant provisions.
2. Dangerous goods must be stored in specialized dangerous goods warehouses approved by the public security department.
3. Dangerous goods stored outdoors should comply with fire and explosion safety requirements.
4. The warehouse storing dangerous goods must be equipped with technical personnel with professional knowledge, and the warehouse and site should be managed by dedicated personnel.
5. The stored chemicals should have clear markings that comply with the provisions of the "Safety Signs".
6. Three storage methods:
(1) Isolation storage. Refers to the separation of different items at a certain distance within the same room or area, and the use of channels to maintain space between non prohibited materials.
(2) Separate storage. Refers to the use of partitions or walls within the same building or area to separate it from prohibited materials (chemical materials with conflicting chemical properties or different fire extinguishing methods).
(3) Separate storage. Refers to storing hazardous materials in different buildings or in external areas away from all buildings.
7. According to the performance zoning, classification, and storage of hazardous chemicals.
Smoking and the use of fireworks are strictly prohibited in buildings and areas where hazardous materials are stored.
