Guwei Electronics (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. recently launched a new product GPE-3060/6030, which is a high-resolution linear DC power supply with the main goal of replacing the existing GPC-3060D/6030D. GPE-3060/6030 provides an output power of 385W and has three independent isolated output channels.
GPE-3060:
CH1/CH2 output from 0~30V and 0~6A
GPE-6030:
CH1/CH2 output from 0~60V and 0~3A
These two models of CH3 have an output of 5.0V (@ 5A).
Series/parallel operation function. GPE-3060/6030 not only has independent outputs between each channel, but also has series parallel automatic connection tracking function. The output of the power supply can be controlled at 30V/12A (parallel) (GPE-3060) or 120V/3A (series) (GPE-6030) through parallel or series functions, which can be used for CH1/CH2.
In terms of high resolution, GPE-3060 provides 10mV/2mA, and GPE-6030 provides 20mV/1mA. GPE-3060/6030 adopts a new hybrid power supply design, which can save 13% of power consumption compared to traditional linear power supplies, and significantly reduce volume and weight.
Digital panel control

The GPE-3060/6030 linear DC power supply has a built-in digital panel control design. By long pressing and short pressing a single button, they provide efficient and user-friendly OVP (overvoltage protection) functionality. The OVP function provides overvoltage protection, and the panel locking function prevents voltage/current parameters from being tampered with by third parties to improve the protection of the DUT. Change the voltage and current setting knobs to encoder switches for more accurate settings. In addition, the on/off output button has a backlit display, making it easier for users to identify the current operating status of the power supply.
Series/parallel operation function

In addition to independent outputs between each channel, GPE-3060/6030 can also perform series parallel automatic connection tracking function. The output of the power supply can be controlled at 30V/12A (parallel) (GPE-3060) or 120V/3A (series) (GPE-6030) through parallel or series functions, which can be used for CH1/CH2.
Heat dissipation optimization

There is an air intake in front of the panel, which can effectively dissipate heat. Temperature controlled fans can effectively reduce fan noise.
Measurement resolution (setting and readback function)

In terms of measurement resolution, GPE-3060 provides 10mV/2mA, GPE-6030 provides 20mV/1mA, and the readback accuracy is 30mV/10mA. GPE-3060/6030 ensures pure and stable power output.
Users can easily apply this series to simulate DUTs that require very small voltages or currents. Traditional low resolution linear DC power supplies cannot achieve this function.
Panel output on/off or rear panel remote control output on/off function

GPE-3060/6030 provides output on/off function. This function can avoid unnecessary damage caused by pre output when the DUT is connected to the power supply. Users can set voltage and current parameters in advance, confirm that all connections have been completed, and manually perform output on/off functions through the front panel. In addition, the series also provides a simple analog control function, which controls the on/off of external outputs through the remote control terminal on the rear panel.

C. V. and C.C working modes
In fixed voltage (CV) mode, a current limit must be set to determine its intersection point, and in fixed current (CC) mode, a voltage limit must be set to determine its intersection point. When the current exceeds the crossover point, the power mode will switch to fixed current (CC) mode.

Series and parallel modes
When the CH1/CH2 of GPE-3060/6030 linear DC power supply is connected in parallel, the total output current will increase. Under series conditions, the total output voltage will increase to twice the original single channel rated output (maximum value). Users only need to press the desired series or parallel button on the front panel to perform the series or parallel operation.
Remote control settings
GPE-3060/6030 provides simple remote control functionality. This connector allows for remote output on/off control. The pin definitions are as follows:

7&8 short circuit is a remote control setting.
At this point, the on/off button on the front panel will continue to flash.
9&10 open circuit is the state where the remote control output is turned on.
9&10 short circuit is a state where the remote control output is turned off.
Key locking function
When users output voltage and current to the power supply for a long time under fixed conditions, they can activate the panel locking function to protect the safety of the DUT and prevent third parties other than the user from arbitrarily changing the setting parameters and damaging the DUT.
