What methods can be used to solve the malfunction of the insertion and extraction force testing machine
Date: 2025-11-22Read: 0
The insertion and extraction force testing machine is a professional equipment used to test the insertion and extraction performance of connectors, terminals, etc. Its troubleshooting requires a systematic analysis of multiple factors such as electrical, mechanical, and software. Starting from the classification and solutions of common faults, the following provides a detailed introduction to the troubleshooting process and preventive measures:
1、 Power and control system malfunction
-No power display or abnormal indicator light
-Fault phenomenon: After connecting the power supply, the device does not respond and the indicator light does not light up.
-Cause analysis: Power failure, damaged power cord, aging power indicator light, or internal circuit malfunction.
-Solution steps: Check if the voltage of the power socket is normal; Replace the power cord; If the indicator light is damaged, the control panel needs to be disassembled to replace the indicator light.
-No response when pressing the test button
-Fault phenomenon: The power supply is normal but the device does not operate after pressing the start button.
-Cause analysis: Poor contact of relay, open circuit or loss of control signal.
-Solution steps: Check if the relay contacts are oxidized or broken; Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the control circuit; Replace the relay if necessary.
2、 Mechanical transmission and actuator component failure
-The crossbeam is out of control or the feedback signal is abnormal
-Fault phenomenon: The motor is running but the crossbeam is moving uncontrollably, and the feedback signal is zero.
-Cause analysis: Poor meshing between the speed measuring device and the gear, wear of the electric brush, or malfunction of the power amplifier.
-Solution steps: Reinstall the motor and adjust the position of the speed measuring gear; Replace worn electric brushes; If the power amplifier fuse is blown, it is necessary to investigate the cause of overload and replace the matching amplifier.
-The motor has no starting sound
-Fault phenomenon: The motor does not respond after clicking the "plug and unplug" button.
-Cause analysis: Motor burnout, drive circuit malfunction, or loose connection wires.
-Solution steps: Check if the motor input voltage is normal; Check the output signal of the driver; Contact the supplier to replace the original motor.
3、 Sensor and data collection issues
-No display of force value or abnormal data
-Fault phenomenon: There is no numerical change in the force value window during the test process, and there is no curve generation in the report.
-Cause analysis: Sensor overload damage, poor signal line contact, or calibration failure.
-Solution steps: Check if the sensor range exceeds the limit; Tighten the signal connector; Replace the sensor and recalibrate (using standard weights).
4、 Software and communication malfunction
-Computer interface crashes or communication interruption
-Fault symptoms: Software freezes, data cannot be saved, or the host loses contact with the computer.
-Reason analysis: Incompatible software version, poor stability of pirated programs, or loose USB interface.
-Solution steps: Uninstall the old version software and install the latest version; Check the authorization status; Replace the data cable and restart the device.
-Password permission lock
-Fault phenomenon: The startup prompts for password input, but the testing interface cannot be accessed.
-Reason analysis: The supplier has set trial period restrictions or operation permission levels.
-Solution steps: Contact the manufacturer to obtain the initial password; Regularly backup the system to avoid reset risks.
5、 Daily maintenance and preventive measures
-Regular calibration: Verify sensors and displacement gauges quarterly, using calibration certificates issued by third-party metrology institutions.
-Environmental management: Maintain stable laboratory temperature and humidity (recommended temperature of 20 ± 5 ℃, humidity<60% RH), and avoid vibration interference.
Through the above systematic troubleshooting and targeted processing, more than 90% of the faults in the insertion and extraction force testing machine can be effectively solved. For complex issues, it is recommended to keep on-site logs and contact the original factory technical support to avoid secondary damage caused by non professional disassembly.
