With the continuous development of electronic technology, printed circuit boards (PCBs) have become key components in modern electronic devices. In the production process of PCB, drilling is a very important process, and the quality of drilling directly affects the performance and service life of the circuit board. With the diversification of demand and the increase in precision requirements, traditional PCB drilling equipment is gradually unable to meet the production needs of high precision and high efficiency. 1. PCB board positioning and clamping:
The automated feeding system first feeds the PCB board into the drilling machine and fixes it on the marble workbench through fixtures or suction cups. The positioning device will ensure the accurate position of the PCB board and prevent displacement during the drilling process.
2. Drilling path calculation and input:
The CNC system calculates the position, size, and depth of each hole based on the drilling requirements in the PCB design drawings. These data are input into the machine through the numerical control system as operational instructions during the drilling process.
3. Drill bit cutting:
The drill bit begins to rotate and drill holes on the PCB board at a predetermined speed and angle according to the instructions of the CNC system. The drill bit continuously rotates and feeds to cut the copper and insulation layers on the PCB board, forming precise holes. According to different aperture and depth requirements, the rotational speed and feed rate of the drill bit can be precisely adjusted.
4. Cooling and waste removal:
During the drilling process, the cooling system sprays coolant onto the contact points between the drill bit and the PCB board to maintain the low temperature of the drill bit, reduce wear, and improve drilling accuracy. At the same time, the waste discharge system promptly removes debris generated during the drilling process through a vacuum cleaner, ensuring a clean and tidy working area.
5. Complete drilling:
After drilling is completed, the PCB board is sent out through an automated feeding system and enters the next process. At this point, the drilling machine will perform self inspection to ensure that all holes meet the accuracy requirements. If any abnormalities are detected, the system will automatically sound an alarm and shut down.
