Sanfeng Horizontal Projector Maintenance Guide: Three Key Operations to Extend Light Source Life by 50%
Date: 2025-09-08Read: 0
Sanfeng horizontal projector is a reliable tool in the field of precision measurement, and its high-voltage halogen or LED light source is the core and expensive consumable. By performing the following three key operations, you can significantly extend the lifespan of the light source by over 50%, effectively reduce operating costs, and ensure measurement stability.
Key operation one: Scientific management of power on/off frequency
The biggest killer of light source lifespan is frequent instantaneous current surges. Be sure to follow the principle of "preheating when turning on, and being cautious when turning off". If the measurement interval is less than 30 minutes, it is recommended to keep the instrument powered on instead of turning off the main power, only adjust the light source brightness to low (if this function is available), or use the instrument's built-in "standby/power-saving" mode. After daily work, wait for the projector cooling fan to stop (about 5-10 minutes) before turning off the main power to avoid damage to the light source and circuit caused by high temperatures.
Key operation 2: Fine optimization of brightness usage
Not all measurements require the highest brightness. Excessive operating voltage can significantly shorten the lifespan of the light source. Adjust the brightness of the light source to a low comfort level based on the material, thickness, and surface characteristics of the workpiece, while ensuring clear imaging. For example, when measuring thin-walled or highly reflective components, adjusting the brightness appropriately can not only protect the light source, but also reduce glare and improve edge aiming accuracy.
Key operation three: Ensure clean heat dissipation
Good heat dissipation is the cornerstone of extending the lifespan of a light source. Regularly clean the filter sponge (located on the side or bottom of the instrument) once a month. If there is a lot of dust in the environment, the cleaning frequency should be increased. A clogged filter can cause an internal temperature surge and accelerate the aging of the light source. At the same time, ensure that there is at least 20 centimeters of heat dissipation space around the instrument, and it is strictly prohibited to cover the heat dissipation holes. Every year, professional engineers conduct in-depth cleaning and maintenance of the internal optical path and cooling fan of the instrument to ensure optimal heat dissipation efficiency.
Conclusion:
By consistently performing these operations, you can not only extend the lifespan of the light source by 50%, but also improve the reliability of measurement data and protect the overall performance of the projector, achieving cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
