The correct usage method of three-point inside micrometer
Date: 2025-12-18Read: 12
Three-point internal micrometerIt is a high-precision inner diameter measurement tool that uses a three gauge anvil structure uniformly distributed at 120 °, which can automatically locate the axis inside the hole, reduce alignment deviation, and have small measurement errors.
Product Features:
The measuring needle (anvil) with a hard alloy head on the measuring surface is very durable
Can be measured close to the bottom of blind holes
Extension rod (optional) can be used to measure deep holes, and this function is suitable for models larger than 6mm
The ratchet locking device can maintain a constant force measurement
Calibration ring gauge (optional) can be used for origin setting
Can be measured close to the bottom of blind holes
The extension rod (optional) can be used to measure deep holes, and this function is suitable for models larger than 6mm
The assembled constant pressure device reduces the deviation caused by the different levels of operators, thus enabling stable measurement
Calibration ring gauge (optional) can be used for origin setting
Preparation before use:
Appearance inspection: Confirm that the ruler body is free of bumps and scratches, the differential cylinder rotates flexibly, and the fixed sleeve scale is clear.
Cleaning measuring tools: Wipe the measuring surface and extension rod with a soft cloth to avoid oil stains affecting accuracy.
Proofreading zero position:
Calibration with a ring gauge: Place the measuring claw into the ring gauge, rotate the force measuring device until the value stabilizes, long press the SET button to preset the ring gauge value (such as 40.005mm), and short press to confirm.
Mechanical type requires adjusting the fixed sleeve to make the reading consistent with the ring gauge.
Measurement operation:
Select range: Match the micrometer range according to the aperture size (e.g. 25-50mm).
Correct posture:
Keep the axis of the micrometer perpendicular to the axis of the hole, and ensure that the measuring jaws make even contact with the hole wall.
The digital display requires slowly inserting the measuring head, while the mechanical display requires rotating the differential cylinder until a "click" sound is heard.
Reading method:
Digital display directly reads display screen data.
Mechanical reading of the sum of fixed sleeve (integer) and differential cylinder (decimal).
