According to data released by the China Instrument and Meter Industry Association, the production and sales scale of the instrument and meter industry exceeded 500 billion yuan in 2010. According to the requirements of the 12th Five Year Plan for the industry, the total output value of the industry will reach or approach one trillion yuan in the next five years, with an average annual growth rate of 15%.
According to the plan, by 2015, the total profit of the instrumentation industry will reach 71.3 billion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of 73%; The profit margin of the main business revenue is 8.5% to 9%; The total assets reached 870 billion yuan; Exports exceeded 30 billion US dollars, with domestic enterprises accounting for over 50% of the total exports. By the end of the 12th Five Year Plan or the beginning of the 13th Five Year Plan, the trade deficit began to decline.
In response to the current situation of dispersed industrial structure, the plan points out that efforts should be made to actively cultivate three industrial clusters in the Yangtze River Delta, Chongqing, and the Bohai Rim, forming 3-5 enterprises with sales exceeding 10 billion yuan and over 100 enterprises with sales exceeding 1 billion yuan. Vigorously promote the improvement of domestic brand quality, increase the proportion of domestic enterprise sales to over 70% of the total domestic industry sales, and achieve mass production of domestic brand discrete automation control systems, * from the current 5% to around 15%.
According to the survey, the proportion of instruments and meters in the total investment of engineering equipment is currently around 18%. During the 12th Five Year Plan period, the launch of many large-scale projects in China, such as ocean engineering and new energy engineering, will drive the growth of demand for instruments and meters.
