Petroleum product sulfur analyzer is an analytical instrument used to detect the sulfur content in petroleum and its products (such as gasoline, diesel, lubricating oil, crude oil, etc.). Its detection results directly affect the quality of petroleum products, environmental emission compliance, and production process optimization. It is one of the core equipment for quality control and environmental monitoring in the petrochemical industry.

Sample processing unit:
Injection system: Equipped with an automatic sampler (liquid sample, such as gasoline) and a solid injection boat (such as petroleum coke) according to the sample status (liquid/solid), ensuring accurate injection volume (error ≤ 0.1%);
Combustion system: using quartz combustion tube+high-temperature furnace (* high temperature 1200 ℃), combined with oxygen/inert gas mixture airflow, to ensure sample combustion (sulfur conversion rate ≥ 99.5%) and avoid carbon deposition interference.
Detection unit:
UV fluorescence method: equipped with UV light source (such as xenon lamp), filter (only allowing SO ₂ characteristic fluorescence to pass through), and photomultiplier tube (converting fluorescence signal into electrical signal);
X-ray fluorescence method: including X-ray tube (producing primary X-rays), detector (capturing sulfur characteristic X-rays), collimator (reducing stray rays);
Coulombic titration method: The core consists of an electrolytic cell (containing iodine ion electrolyte) and an electrode system (indicator electrode+electrolysis electrode), which monitors the potential changes during the electrolysis process in real time.
Precautions for use
Regular calibration: calibrate the curve with standard sulfur samples (such as 10mg/kg, 100mg/kg) every month to ensure detection accuracy;
Sample pretreatment: Liquid samples need to be filtered for impurities (to avoid clogging the injection tube), and high viscosity samples (such as heavy oil) need to be diluted by heating (to ensure uniform injection);
Consumables replacement: The UV fluorescence method requires regular replacement of the SO3 adsorption column and quartz combustion tube; Coulombic titration requires regular replacement of electrolyte;
Environmental control: The instrument should be placed in a laboratory with constant temperature (20-25 ℃), constant humidity (40% -60% RH), and no vibration to avoid temperature fluctuations affecting the detection results (such as temperature sensitivity of X-ray detectors).
