ENEX, the association of television broadcasting companies, has chosen R&S for its new aggregation and distribution network ® RelayCaster， Rohde&Schwarz's IP aggregation solution provides reliable live content aggregation and distribution services in unmanaged IP networks. The system integrator EuroMedia Services assisted in integrating this project.

On March 7, 2019, members of the ENEX Association in Munich and local partners from over 50 countries shared their news content and new production resources. ENEX holds satellite resources for their use. ENEX has special requirements for selecting new products when searching for alternative satellite platforms for live streaming content. Firstly, it is necessary to be able to utilize the existing architecture to connect the main control rooms of partners located within the * range, and to ensure high stability, high reliability, and low latency transmission at the lowest possible investment.

R&S ® RelayCaster can achieve a low packet loss rate to ensure high stability of transmission, providing the necessary quality of service (QoS) conditions for uninterrupted transmission. Optional encryption based on the encryption standard (AES) provides end-to-end protection for transmitting data streams. The challenge lies in integrating typical broadcasting and television environments into the IP domain. This means having the necessary ability to connect two domains and be able to cope with and adapt to various security challenges.
