Standard 3D Full Field Strain Measurement System(FlexDIC)

FlexDIC is a digital image measurement system designed as a flexible, robust, and versatile industrial and academic utility tool, suitable for a wide range of material testing and motion analysis applications. Including a laptop, a DAQ controller, lens, calibration board, camera mounting fixture, and measurement tripod. Use any of the following methods to measure performance:; A standard FlexDIC system consists of one, two, or three CMOS cameras using USB3 or Gige.
This system can be used in any of the following waysRunning in one environment: DAQ triggered or master/slave mode, using DAQ controller, FlexDIC can read up to 8±10V analog signal or LVDT, it also allows up to 2 analog output real-time correlation evaluation modules to be read from Istra4D software.
FlexDICThe system can meet your diverse testing needs and can perform automated rapid calibration in 10 seconds. Used for measuring displacement, contour shape, strain, and motion of discrete tracking points. FlexDIC is modular and can be upgraded with additional lenses, calibration plates, lighting systems, and cameras to transform the system into a Multi Camera Digital Image Correlation Measurement System (MulticamDIC).

FlexDIC systemWe can meet all your testing needs, allowing any user to quickly and accurately measure displacement, contour shape, strain, and motion of discrete tracking points.Possible applications for material testing and motion analysis include:; Simple quasi-static tensile, compression, buckling, 3-point and 4-point bending, shear, low cycle fatigue (LCF), and fracture mechanics tests.

Due to the fact that 3D information can only be calculated from objects imaged by at least two cameras, the field of view (FoV)depend onYueachThe overlap between cameras and FoVs. Implementing overlap may be difficult, partly due to the trade-off of solid angles, but also for measuring non planar or curved objects. The solution to overcome this limitation is to use the additional perspective provided by the third intermediate camera located between the two external cameras. Then move the middle cameraSet as“Reference camera. This method is called“middleReference Camera Perspective (CRCP).

When CRCP is directed onto a 2-camer FoV, the FoV of the external camera can be split and segmented in reverse, using the FoV provided by CRCP. This in turn increases the FoV of the measurement system while maintaining the spatial accuracy provided by the image scale determined by the external camera. This can improve the surface coverage of curved, cylindrical, or unevenly shaped specimens, which is particularly useful for measuring small radius corners or edges.
