4.3Grain size measurement

This aluminum alloy grain size measurement adoptsThe FEMA metallographic analysis software system evaluates its grain size grade according to the national standard GB/T 6394.

Test results:The grain size of the 6061 plate section is 4.5, and the grain size of the 6063 plate section is 6.

5. Summary

1. Due to rolling, aluminum alloy sheet exhibits anisotropy in grain size. Therefore, in this sample preparation, the grain size of the surface and side of the sheet were measured separately;

2. This is a deformed aluminum alloy that is easily embedded during grinding and polishing. During the grinding and polishing process, it is necessary to avoid using small particle diamond polishing solution and pay attention to minimizing the downward pressure as much as possible;

3. Test results: The cross-sectional grain size of 6061 sheet is 4.5 grade, and the cross-sectional grain size of 6063 sheet is 6.0 grade；

4. During the anode coating process, it is necessary to strictly control the current and maintain it below 0.2A to avoid surface burns and blackening.
