The Cream optical scanner, as an important tool in the fields of cultural relic digitization, industrial reverse engineering, medical modeling, and archive management, has become a bridge connecting the physical world and digital space with its high-resolution and non-contact 3D data acquisition capabilities. Its core components include high-precision lenses, structured light projection modules, CCD/CMOS sensors, and precision calibration systems. However, dust, temperature and humidity fluctuations, mechanical vibrations, or improper operation can easily lead to blurry imaging, missing point clouds, and even hardware damage. Establishing a scientific and systematic regular maintenance mechanism for the Cream optical scanner is key to ensuring scanning accuracy and equipment lifespan.

1、 After daily use
At the end of each assignment, immediately turn off the light source and software, and use clean and dry compressed air (pressure ≤ 0.2MPa) to blow away floating dust in the lens, projection window, and body gaps; Dip a small amount of anhydrous ethanol in specialized lens paper and gently wipe the optical window in one direction, avoiding scratching the coating. Reset the scanning head to a safe position, cover it with a dust cover, and avoid long-term exposure to dust accumulation in the air.
2、 Weekly routine inspection
Check if the lens is loose and if the projected stripes are clear and uniform; Test whether the turntable (if equipped) runs smoothly and has no abnormal noise; Confirm that the data and power cable interfaces are not oxidized or worn. For handheld devices, it is also necessary to check the built-in battery life and Wi Fi/USB connection stability.
3、 Monthly in-depth maintenance
Perform system self calibration using original factory standard calibration plates (such as ceramic ball arrays or coded targets) to correct coordinate system offsets caused by temperature drift or minor collisions. At the same time, update scanning software and drivers, fix potential vulnerabilities, and improve algorithm compatibility. If the device supports multi frequency phase shift or blue/white light switching, the consistency of the output of each mode should be verified.
4、 Quarterly professional maintenance
Authorized engineers shall inspect the intensity attenuation of laser/LED light sources and replace them if necessary; Check the internal cooling fan and filter to prevent overheating from affecting sensor performance; For high-precision industrial grade scanners, it is recommended to perform third-party metrological calibration and issue testing reports that comply with ISO17025 standards.
5、 Environment and operating standards
The Cream optical scanner should be placed in an environment with constant temperature (20 ± 2 ℃), low humidity (<50% RH), and no direct light or vibration interference; Avoid rapid movement or obstruction of marked points during scanning; It is strictly prohibited to use in environments with dust, oil mist, or corrosive gases.
