What is the basic function of explosion-proof regulating valve?
Date: 2025-09-18Read: 32
Explosion proof regulating valveIt is a fluid control equipment designed specifically for hazardous environments such as flammability and explosiveness. By integrating explosion-proof technology and precision adjustment functions, it ensures safe and stable operation in industries such as petrochemicals, natural gas, and power energy. Its core advantage lies in combining explosion-proof performance with high-precision control, effectively preventing explosion risks caused by electrical sparks or high temperatures, while meeting the process requirements under complex working conditions.
The valve body and valve cover are made of high temperature resistant and corrosion-resistant materials (such as carbon steel, stainless steel, Hastelloy), and the sealing forms are divided into soft seals (PTFE, graphite, leakage rate ≤ 10 ⁻⁶ x valve rated capacity) and hard seals (Stellite alloy overlay welding), which are suitable for different medium characteristics. The protection level reaches IP67 or IP68, which can resist damp and flooded environments.
  Explosion proof regulating valveBasic functions:
1. Flow control:
Core function: Accurately adjust the flow rate of liquid, gas, or steam through pipelines based on 4-20mA, 0-10V, or digital signals.
Application: such as controlling the feed rate of the reaction kettle, the water supply of the boiler, the circulating flow rate of the cooling system, etc.
2. Pressure regulation:
Function: Control the pressure inside the pipeline or container by changing the valve opening to prevent overpressure or maintain the required pressure level of the system.
Applications: such as pressure stabilization of natural gas pipelines, control of breathing valves in storage tanks, and regulation of compressor outlet pressure.
3. Liquid level control:
Function: By adjusting the flow rate of the medium entering or leaving the container, the liquid level of equipment such as storage tanks and reaction vessels can be maintained within the set range.
Applications: such as tower kettle level control in distillation towers and water tank level control in water treatment systems.
4. Temperature control:
Function: Control the temperature of process equipment or products by adjusting the flow rate of heating (such as steam, thermal oil) or cooling (such as cold water, frozen salt water) media.
Application: such as temperature control of reactors and outlet temperature regulation of heat exchangers.
