PaddyCheckTM PC 6800 Meter Quality Analyzer Technical Parameter Description
Date: 2021-04-29Read: 1

The PaddyCheckTM PC 6800 meter quality analyzer integrates image and pressure technology into one instrument. This user-friendly automation technology can obtain key quality indicators such as whole head rice rate (HRY) in just 5 to 10 minutes. With this new solution, there is no need to husk and grind the rice grains into polished rice before testing, eliminating this traditional labor-intensive step.

PerkinElmer offers a diverse range of advanced food analysis products, including quality and safety solutions for grains, dairy products, agricultural products, meat, and oils. PaddyCheck is now available for sale in China and will be launched in other markets. Recently, this solution has been recognized by the American Association of Grain Chemists (AACCI) (Method 61-10.01).

The PaddyCheck solution belongs to PerkinElmer Perten ® The product line includes a comprehensive analysis system that is easy to operate and does not require professional training. The system consists of three sensors: polarized light sensor, visible light sensor, and pressure sensor. According to different rice varieties (such as indica and japonica rice), corresponding rotating sample disks are selected to drive the rice grains to rotate under different sensors for testing one by one.

Polarized light cameras are used to observe the interior of rice grains and measure their transparency; Visible light cameras are used to measure appearance parameters such as grain length, width, and color; The pressure sensor applies a force of 17N to the rice grains to measure their thickness and hardness, and detect cracks or potential fractures in the grains.

The results can be displayed intuitively on the menu style touch screen and stored for future reference. The SingulatorPlusTM software developed by PerkinElmer specifically for the PaddyCheck platform can perform data and statistical analysis to view visible light images, polarized light images, and pressure deformation curves of individual grains.

In addition, PaddyCheck is designed to be compact, portable, and suitable for on-site testing. Its battery pack can support up to 3 hours of analysis time and 8 hours of standby time.

Rice is one of the staple foods on dining tables around the world, and ensuring the quality of this type of grain is crucial for the food industry and consumers, "said Greg Sears, Vice President and General Manager of PerkinElmer Food and Organic Mass Spectrometry." With the PaddyCheck rice quality analyzer, research institutions, rice traders, and growers can conduct rapid and objective standardized analysis to meet the growing scientific research and planting needs of the growing food industry chain
