Operating procedures for intelligent coagulation test mixer: a guide to the entire process from start-up to data management
Date: 2025-12-18Read: 2
The intelligent coagulation test mixer, as a key equipment in the field of water treatment, provides scientific basis for drug selection and dosage optimization by simulating the coagulation and sedimentation process under actual working conditions. The operation needs to balance equipment safety, precise parameters, and data reliability. The following are standardized operating procedures.

1、 Preparation before startup: dual inspection of environment and equipment
1. Environmental requirements
Choose a flat and ventilated test bench, away from water sources and strong electromagnetic interference. If the equipment is not used for a long time, it needs to be covered with a cloth cover to prevent dust, and run for 10 minutes without load every month to prevent moisture.
2. Equipment inspection
① Mechanical structure: Confirm that the mixing blade is vertically fixed and there is no looseness in the connection between the blade and the shaft; Check if the 6 test cup holders are stable and if the cup shape (such as 1L round cup, 0.5L square cup) matches the program.
② Electrical system: Connect to an AC220V power supply and ensure reliable grounding to avoid the risk of electrical leakage; Check if the touch screen, emergency stop button, and temperature probe interface are intact.
2、 Core operations: Parameter setting and program startup
1. Initialization and parameter input
① After booting up, enter the touch screen main interface, select the "Chinese English Switch" language, click the "Up" button to lift the mixing shaft, load the test cup and place the control solution cup.
② Insert the temperature probe into the control solution and calibrate the temperature sensor (with fluctuations controlled within ± 0.5 ℃).
③ Select the "synchronous operation" mode (recommended for parallel experiments), enter the preset program number (such as G value, GT value), or manually set the speed gradient:
Fast stirring stage: 200-300rpm (mixing phase), lasting for 120-300 seconds to ensure uniform dispersion of the medication.
Slow stirring stage: 20-50rpm (flocculation period), lasting 5-15 minutes to avoid floc breakage.
2. Medication and start-up
① Inject coagulant/coagulant aid into the dosing test tube, press the "down" button to return the mixing shaft to position, and start the program.
② Observe real-time data on the screen (speed, temperature, G value). If the G value is abnormal, pause adjusting the blade position.
3、 Post experimental processing: data and equipment maintenance
1. Data recording and export
① After the program ends, the stirring shaft automatically rises and enters the sedimentation stage (20-30 minutes), recording the GT value and sedimentation time.
② Export historical data (including speed time curves and temperature fluctuation charts) through USB to avoid manual copying errors.
2. Cleaning and maintenance
① Immediately rinse the beaker, paddle, and dosing test tube with clean water. For highly corrosive agents, a neutral detergent should be used for secondary cleaning.
② Before long-term shutdown, clean the internal residues of the equipment and store them in a dry environment.
4、 Safety and Emergency: Avoiding Operational Risks
1. Prohibited behaviors: Directly starting without grounding wire, touching components inside the mixing chamber with electricity, and not wearing protective gloves when handling strong acid/alkali solutions.
2. Exception handling: If the mixing shaft is not aligned with the center of the beaker, pause the program and manually adjust it; It is normal for some mixing heads to not rotate when unloaded, but if they still have abnormalities after running under load, it is necessary to check the motor wiring or bearing lubrication.
The operation of intelligent coagulation test mixers needs to be based on standardized processes, combined with real-time data monitoring and equipment maintenance, in order to ensure the repeatability and accuracy of test results and provide reliable support for optimizing water treatment processes.
