The ultra large capacity cryogenic centrifuge is capable of processing larger capacity samples
Date: 2025-08-17Read: 0
With the development of biomedical, pharmaceutical, chemical research, and food industries, the demand for efficient and high-capacity centrifugal separation in laboratories and industrial production is constantly increasing.Ultra large capacity cryogenic centrifugeAs a precision laboratory equipment, it can perform high-speed centrifugal separation on samples while providing a low-temperature environment to ensure that the samples are not damaged by heat during the separation process. It plays an irreplaceable role in the separation, purification, and other industrial applications of biological samples such as blood, cells, and proteins. The working principle is based on the application of centrifugal force. By rotating the sample tube, the sample is separated under the centrifugal force of high-speed rotation. The rotor inside the centrifuge separates different components in the sample by rotating at high speed and utilizing the mass differences of different substances. According to the density differences of different components, heavier components will settle to the bottom of the pipe, while lighter components will remain in the upper liquid layer. The freezing function can effectively prevent thermal degradation of samples due to temperature increase, especially in the separation of temperature sensitive biomolecules such as proteins, enzymes, DNA, etc.

The workflow of a super large capacity cryogenic centrifuge:
1. Sample loading
Firstly, place the sample to be separated into a specific centrifuge tube. Select the appropriate centrifuge tube based on the capacity and requirements of the centrifuge. The uniformity and weight balance of the sample are crucial, as imbalanced samples may lead to unstable centrifuge operation.
2. Set parameters
Before starting the centrifuge, the operator needs to set a series of parameters, including centrifuge speed, centrifuge time, and temperature. These parameters are determined based on the type of sample and separation requirements to ensure optimal separation performance.
3. Centrifugal process
Once started, the rotor of the centrifuge will begin to rotate at high speed. At this point, the sample is stratified under the action of centrifugal force. The refrigeration system will monitor and control the temperature in real time to ensure that the sample is always in the set low-temperature environment.
4. Separation results
After centrifugation, each component in the sample will be separated based on density differences. The heavier components will settle at the bottom of the centrifuge tube, while the lighter parts will float on top. Operators can carefully extract samples from various levels.
5. Result processing
The separated sample can be further used for experiments or analysis. In some applications, cryogenic centrifuges are also equipped with temperature control devices to ensure that the sample remains at a low temperature during the extraction process, thereby avoiding loss or deterioration.
Key Features:
1. Large capacity design
Capable of handling larger capacity samples. The large capacity centrifuge tube and efficient rotor design enable it to process more samples in one operation, greatly improving the efficiency of laboratory or production processes.
2. Temperature control system
Equipped with an efficient refrigeration system, it can operate in low-temperature environments, maximizing the stability of the sample. This is particularly important for the separation and processing of biological samples, as it can effectively avoid thermal degradation.
3. Precision control system
Usually equipped with advanced digital control systems, it can accurately control centrifugal speed, time, and temperature. The device also supports preset programs, simplifying the operation process and improving the convenience and accuracy of operation.
4. Efficient separation capability
The rotor design has been optimized to operate under high centrifugal force, ensuring effective separation of different components. Especially when dealing with complex samples, the efficient separation ability of centrifuges is particularly outstanding.
5. Automatic balancing system
Due to the density difference of the samples, an automatic balancing system is usually equipped. This system can automatically adjust when the sample is unevenly loaded, ensuring the stability and safety of the equipment operation.
6. Security protection mechanism
Usually equipped with multiple safety protection mechanisms, such as overspeed protection, high temperature protection, door lock protection, etc., to prevent safety accidents caused by equipment failure or improper operation.
Application areas of ultra large capacity cryogenic centrifuges:
1. Biomedical research
In the field of biomedical research, it is widely used in the separation of blood samples, collection of cell cultures, purification of proteins, and other aspects. It can efficiently separate different blood components or extract proteins of different molecular weights to meet the needs of laboratory research.
2. Biopharmaceuticals
In the production process of biopharmaceuticals, it is used to separate and purify drug components, such as vaccines, antibodies, etc. Operating under low temperature conditions can effectively prevent the degradation of heat sensitive components, ensuring the stability and effectiveness of the drug.
3. Chemistry and Materials Science
In chemistry and materials science, it is used to separate solid particles or layers of different solvents in a solution. Through precise centrifugation technology, separation efficiency can be improved and the development of new materials can be promoted.
4. Food industry
The application in the food industry mainly focuses on the separation of liquid components, such as fiber separation in fruit juice and milk fat separation in milk. By low-temperature centrifugation, the temperature control requirements for the separation process can be ensured, thereby improving product quality.
5. Environmental Protection
In the field of environmental protection, it is used for water quality monitoring and suspended solids separation in sewage treatment processes. Through centrifugal separation, solid substances in water samples can be effectively extracted, providing important data support for environmental monitoring and pollution control.
