The Resource Efficiency and Recycling Research Center of Peking University is affiliated with the Department of Energy and Resource Engineering of the School of Engineering. It is a key research institution for new energy at Peking University, established in 2006, mainly engaged in research on "clean energy science and engineering". The main research content includes: (1) new processes and theories for efficient and clean utilization of coal and its by-products; (2) New processes and theories for efficient utilization of unconventional mineral resources (including three wastes); (3) Key technologies for energy conservation and emission reduction in resource utilization. It is a domestic institution that trains master's and doctoral students in Energy Power and Resource Engineering.

The research center needs to detect the moisture content in carbon powder and some new materials. The moisture content is relatively low and difficult to dissolve, and the accuracy cannot be achieved with a rapid moisture analyzer, resulting in poor testing results. If the traditional oven method is used, some of the materials have volatile substances other than water, which can cause the test results to be biased. Finally, we learned about our solution online, which can balance the accuracy of Karl Fischer and the speed of the halogen moisture analyzer. After the customer mailed the test samples and discussed the technical solution, the customer highly recognized our instrument.
