Fixed ultrasonic flowmeterIt is an industrial equipment based on ultrasonic propagation characteristics that enables continuous online measurement of fluid flow. With its high precision, long-term stability, and wide adaptability, it has become a core tool for flow measurement in fields such as petrochemicals, water treatment, power, metallurgy, etc.
Fixed ultrasonic flowmeterThe host and sensor are installed separately, and the host can be hung on the wall, embedded in the instrument cabinet or explosion-proof box. The sensor is connected through a dedicated cable and supports multiple installation methods:
external clip-on
Principle: The probe is fixed on the outer wall of the pipeline through a fixture, and ultrasonic waves penetrate the pipe wall into the fluid.
Advantages: Non invasive, easy to install, low cost, suitable for large pipe diameters (DN50~6000mm).
Disadvantages: Due to material limitations of the pipeline (only applicable to metal/plastic pipes), the accuracy is moderate (± 1.5%~± 3%), and scaling or corrosion on the inner wall of the pipeline can affect the signal.
Application scenarios: municipal water supply, large-diameter industrial circulating water.
plug-in
Principle: Make a hole in the pipeline, insert the probe into the fluid, and prevent leakage through a seal.
Advantages: High precision (± 1%~± 1.5%), less affected by pipeline material, and can be installed under pressure (requiring pressure drilling tools).
Disadvantage: It requires flow stopping installation (without pressure tools) and is not suitable for high viscosity/high wear fluids.
Application scenarios: Petrochemical media, industrial cooling water.
Pipe section type
Principle: The sensor is integrated with a short pipe section, directly replacing one section of the pipeline for flange connection.
Advantages: The highest accuracy (± 0.5%~± 1%), pre calibrated before leaving the factory, suitable for high pressure/high temperature conditions (pressure up to 40MPa, temperature>300 ℃).
Disadvantages: need to cut pipes, high installation costs, fixed pipe diameter.
Application scenarios: Thermal power stations, boiler systems.
