What are the common problems and solutions of gas alarm controllers
Date: 2025-10-25Read: 1

As a key equipment for ensuring safety, gas alarm controllers may encounter various common problems during use. The following are specific problems and solutions:

1、 Power supply and power supply issues
Unable to power on
Reason: Power failure, damaged fuse, equipment malfunction.
resolvent:
Check if the power cord is connected properly and if the voltage is stable (such as 220V).
Replace the damaged fuse.
If the equipment is damaged, contact the manufacturer for repair.
Main/backup power failure
Main power failure: power cord not connected properly, main power switch not turned on, damaged fuse or power outage.
Check the power connection, measure the voltage to see if it is normal, turn on the main power switch, and replace the fuse.
Backup power failure: The backup power is damaged, the backup power function is not turned on, or the battery is depleted.
Replace the backup battery and turn off unused backup functions.
2、 Sensor and detection issues
Slow response or no response
Reason: Sensor aging, improper range adjustment, and blocked ventilation holes.
resolvent:
Adjust the range again or replace the sensor.
Check if the sensor vent is blocked and clean the accumulated dust.
Excessive error or display value deviation
Reason: Sensor aging, changes in platinum wire resistivity, electromagnetic interference.
resolvent:
Use standard gas for calibration, and if it cannot be adjusted, replace the sensor.
Avoid environments with high temperatures, humidity, and dust to reduce electromagnetic interference.
Concentration indication does not return to zero
Reason: Zero drift, residual gas or dust accumulation in the sensor.
resolvent:
Calibrate the zero point in clean air.
Clean the sensor protective cover and replace the aging detector.
3、 Communication and connectivity issues
Detector communication failure (displaying E2)
Reason: The circuit is not connected correctly, the detector is not numbered, or the equipment is damaged.
resolvent:
Reconnect the circuit to ensure that the detector number is within the open channel and there are no duplicates.
Contact after-sales maintenance equipment.
Bus short circuit/open circuit (displaying E3/E4)
Reason: Short circuit in the circuit, poorly connected cables, or insufficient voltage.
resolvent:
Immediately cut off the power and check if the circuit is short circuited or open circuited.
Measure the voltage (>17V) to ensure proper connection.
4、 Alarm and linkage issues
No alarm for exceeding the limit
Reason: Damaged buzzer, broken alarm circuit, and damaged explosion-proof facilities.
resolvent:
Check and replace the buzzer or alarm circuit.
Repair or replace explosion-proof facilities.
Not linked after alarm
Reason: The circuit is not connected, not debugged, or the equipment is damaged.
resolvent:
Connect the circuit correctly and have it debugged by professional personnel.
Contact the manufacturer to repair the equipment.
5、 Display and operation issues
Abnormal display on digital display
Reason: Poor soldering of digital tube pins, damaged strokes, or internal circuit faults.
resolvent:
Re weld the digital tube pins and replace damaged digital tubes or circuit components.
Display 'FAUL' fault
Reason: Connection error or sensor damage.
Solution: Reconnect or replace the sensor.
6、 Environmental and interference issues
False alarm or false alert
Reason: Probe aging, environmental interference (such as high humidity and high temperature).
resolvent:
Replace the probe or alarm to improve the installation environment.
Avoid installing the alarm in areas with strong electromagnetic interference.
Unstable indication value
Reason: Electric field interference, unstable sensor operation.
resolvent:
Adjust the installation position and install a shielding cover.
Replace the sensor that is unstable in operation.
7、 Other issues
Controller malfunction alarm
Reason: It may be a normal alarm or equipment malfunction.
Solution: Check for the presence of flammable gases in the environment by yourself. If no leaks are confirmed, contact maintenance.
Serious aging of equipment
Solution: Regularly replace aging components (such as sensors and batteries) to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
