Compared to traditional oven methods that take several hours to complete testing, modern moisture meters such as halogen or infrared types can obtain results within minutes, improving detection efficiency and meeting the real-time monitoring needs of production lines; And it is compact in size, lightweight, easy to carry and move around for use; Both the quality loss calculation of the drying method and the electrochemical titration of the Karl Fischer method can achieve high-precision measurement; At the same time, the instrument has good stability and high repeatability, ensuring data consistency and credibility; It has a high degree of automation, usually only requiring simple parameter settings to automatically complete the entire testing process, reducing human error; Some models also support print output or data transmission functions, making it convenient to record and manage data.
Measurement steps of moisture analyzer:
1. Instrument preparation and calibration
-Ensure that the moisture analyzer is correctly installed and on a stable horizontal workbench, and check if the power connection is normal. Some high-precision instruments may require preheating or initial calibration (such as zeroing) to ensure the accuracy of subsequent measurements.
2. Sample processing and loading
-Select a suitable container or sample tray based on the characteristics of the substance to be tested, and place an appropriate and uniform amount of sample into it. Avoid excessive filling that may cause uneven heating or interference with test results; At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that the sample is representative, and if necessary, pre-treatment such as grinding and mixing can be carried out in advance.
3. Start the testing program
-Set the required parameters (such as temperature, time, drying mode, etc.), and different models of equipment may support multiple measurement modes. After confirming the accuracy, start the instrument and start heating to evaporate the water. During this period, changes in sample status can be monitored through the observation window.
4. Data collection and recording
-When the set conditions are reached or the system automatically determines the endpoint, the instrument will stop working and display the moisture content value. At this time, data should be recorded in a timely manner, and some models also have data storage and export functions.
5. Cleaning and maintenance
-After the test is completed, turn off the power and wait for the device to cool down before removing the sample residue and cleaning it, especially in the heating area and sensor area, to prevent the residue from affecting the accuracy of the next experiment. Regularly check the wear of components and perform maintenance according to the instructions.
