Operating standards for civil air defense reinforced concrete scanners
Date: 2025-06-18Read: 0
Civil air defense reinforced concrete scanners are commonly used to detect the distribution, position, diameter, spacing, and other information of steel bars inside concrete structures for structural safety analysis, especially in civil air defense engineering, construction, maintenance, and other fields. It mainly uses non-destructive testing technology to scan concrete structures and identify and locate steel bars.
The following are the operating standards and methods for civil air defense reinforced concrete scanners:
1. Preparation work
Check equipment: Ensure that the scanner's battery, display screen, data storage devices, etc. are in normal working condition. Check if the sensors, probes, and connecting wires are intact, and clean the contact surface of the scanner.
Choose the appropriate probe: Select the appropriate probe type based on the type of concrete structure, the diameter of the steel bars, and the testing requirements.
Setting up the environment: Ensure that there are no strong electromagnetic interference sources around the scanning area to avoid external interference affecting the scanning results. The operating environment temperature and humidity of the equipment should meet the requirements in the equipment manual.
2. Operation interface settings
Power on settings: Start the device and enter the operation interface.
Select detection mode: Choose the scanning mode as needed (such as steel bar scanning, thickness measurement, crack scanning, etc.). Choose the appropriate scanning depth and resolution, usually set as shallow, medium, or deep scanning.
Select detection parameters: Set relevant parameters based on the thickness of the concrete and the type of steel reinforcement (such as steel bars, prestressed steel bars, threaded steel bars, etc.) to accurately identify the steel bars.
3. Scanning process
Positioning scanning area: Select the area to be scanned on the surface of the concrete, avoiding scanning in areas with cracks, holes, or obvious structural defects to avoid affecting the accuracy of the test.
Equipment contact surface: Place the scanner probe in smooth contact with the concrete surface. Ensure that the sensor of the scanner maintains stable contact with the concrete surface to avoid any deviation.
Mobile device: Slowly and smoothly move the scanner along a predetermined path according to the scanning direction. Maintain good contact between the equipment and the concrete surface, ensuring even scanning coverage of the entire area.
Real time observation: During the scanning process, observe the real-time feedback information from the scanner through the display screen. The instrument will display data such as the position, direction, and depth of the steel bars. If the scanner supports it, the device may also indicate the specific location, spacing, and diameter of the steel bars on the display screen.
4. Data recording and storage
Real time data recording: During the scanning process, the instrument will automatically record relevant data, indicating the position information, depth, and direction of each steel bar to ensure the accuracy of the data.
Data storage: After completing the scan, the instrument saves the data in internal memory or exports it to external storage devices (such as USB flash drives, computers, etc.). Some scanners also support real-time data upload, which can be directly transmitted to the cloud or database.
5. Data analysis and processing
Data analysis: Based on the position and depth data of the steel bars provided by the scanner, conduct structural analysis to check whether the steel bars meet the design requirements. Usually, instruments provide intuitive graphical results, such as steel bar distribution maps, depth distribution maps, etc.
Generate report: Based on the detection data, generate a detailed detection report. The report should include information on the distribution, diameter, spacing, depth, and quality assessment of steel bars to assist engineers in making decisions and analysis.
6. Result evaluation and reporting
Evaluate density and distribution: Based on the scanned data, evaluate whether the distribution of steel bars is uniform and meets the design standards, and check for issues such as missing steel bars or abnormal steel bar density.
Reinforcement quality assessment: By scanning data, the thickness of the protective layer of the reinforcement can be evaluated, and whether it meets the specifications can be checked to avoid problems such as reinforcement corrosion caused by unqualified concrete protective layer.
Generate report: After the scan is completed, a detection report can be automatically generated based on the device software. The report should include detailed information such as the distribution, testing location, depth, quantity, and type of steel bars.
7. Cleaning and maintenance
Cleaning the instrument: After use, clean the scanner in a timely manner, especially the probe part, to avoid dust or debris affecting the next use.
Storage device: After cleaning, place the device back in a dedicated storage box to avoid moisture or other external factors.
Regular calibration: It is recommended to regularly calibrate and maintain the equipment to ensure measurement accuracy and long-term stability of the instrument.
8. Precautions
Equipment calibration: Perform equipment calibration before use to ensure the accuracy of measurement results. Calibrate or compare with standard templates as needed.
Operating environment: Avoid operating in environments with strong electromagnetic fields, overheating or overcooling to avoid affecting the performance of the instrument.
Safe operation: Operators should wear necessary protective equipment, such as gloves, goggles, etc. Ensure that the device's battery is fully charged during operation to avoid testing interruptions caused by insufficient power.
