1、 Project Background

There are various chemical products involved in conventional chemical plants, including toluene diisocyanate (TDI). And toluene diisocyanate is a flammable, explosive, toxic and harmful gas. Therefore, for the safety of property in the Shanghai factory, TDI needs to be tested.

The Shanghai factory had previously installed TDI detectors from foreign brands, but the detection results were not ideal, which could not meet the detection requirements and safety needs. Therefore, for safety reasons, it is necessary to reinstall the TDI leak alarm.

2、 Project requirements

After learning about the Shenzhen Guoan TDI leak alarm, the Shanghai factory had in-depth communication and exchange with relevant personnel from Shenzhen Guoan. Clearly state the need for timely alarm in case of TDI leakage, with high requirements for instrument sensitivity and accuracy.

Require TDL detector to be equipped with LCD display and sound and light alarm on site. It is necessary to check the detection values at any time and issue timely alarms in case of leaks. In addition, it is necessary to install controllers at the places where relevant personnel enter and exit, which can not only view the detection values in real time, but also timely know the danger.

3、 Solution

After understanding the actual needs of the Shanghai factory. Shenzhen Guoan has equipped its TDI testing project with a 1-to-2 TDI online monitoring system.

The TDI detector is installed at the monitoring site. In case of leakage, the TDI detector will immediately trigger a local sound and light alarm when it detects TDI gas exceeding the standard. At the same time, the alarm controller will also immediately sound an alarm to remind relevant personnel to take emergency measures.
