description
The N8975B high-performance noise figure analyzer can perform fast, accurate, and reproducible noise figure measurements. When used in conjunction with SNS series noise sources and U7227 series USB preamplifiers, ENR data and USB preamplifier data from SNS are automatically downloaded to N8975B.
N8975B has a multi touch interface that supports zoom in, zoom out, and drag gestures. With just a click of your finger, you can access most menus without changing the screen.
By completing comprehensive calibration of up to 12 tested device settings in one step, the noise source calibration for Y factor measurement is significantly simplified. By using the internal calibration function, there is no need to perform user calibration, which can save valuable testing time for many types of tested devices.
The built-in noise coefficient uncertainty calculator can pre fill in data from SNS noise sources, USB preamplifiers, and all necessary instrument parameters such as analyzer noise coefficient, gain, noise coefficient uncertainty, and matching. The default noise figure setting provides simultaneous measurement of noise figure and gain. Using the Table view, multiple measurement results can be viewed simultaneously in a tabular format, including noise factor, noise factor, Y factor, gain, Phot, Pcold, and Teffective.
The spectrum analyzer mode and IQ analyzer (basic) mode of N8975B provide additional flexibility, allowing customers to not only measure noise figures, but also analyze the characteristics of the tested device in more depth as needed.
26.5 GHz built-in preamplifier (option P26), 25 MHz analysis bandwidth (option B25), precision frequency reference (option PFR), fine step attenuator (option FSA), and background noise extension (option NFE) are provided as standard options. In addition, the provided snap in accessory bag can accommodate external USB preamplifiers, noise sources, and adapters.
By connecting to the Shide Technology signal generator via LAN, USB, or GPIB interface, external simulation of the local oscillator and frequency conversion device input can be achieved. The local oscillator control can be adjusted from N8973B.
