Introduction to the Classification and Application of Ozone Detectors
Date: 2025-08-21Read: 0

Ozone is a highly oxidizing gas that can irritate the respiratory tract at low concentrations (0.1-0.3ppm), while high concentrations can cause harm to the human body. Therefore, accurate detection is crucial.Ozone detectorIt is a professional instrument used to measure the concentration of ozone (O3) in the environment, achieving concentration detection through the chemical or physical properties of ozone.

According to the usage method,Ozone detectorIt can be divided into two categories: fixed and portable:

1. Fixed ozone detector

Features: Continuous online monitoring, can be connected to the control system, supports sound and light alarms and data storage, suitable for long-term fixed scenarios.

2. Portable ozone detector

Features: Small size (palm size), battery powered (4-8 hours of battery life), support for rapid on-site testing, some with data recording function.

Application Scenario:

1. Environmental monitoring

Atmospheric ozone detection: The ozone detector is launched through a hydrogen balloon and transmits real-time ozone partial pressure, temperature, and humidity data from the ground to an altitude of 30 kilometers, covering the troposphere to stratosphere.

Pollution source investigation: Fixed detectors equipped with pressure compensation and anti-interference technology are suitable for continuous monitoring in industrial pipelines and other scenarios.

2. Industrial safety

Water treatment: Detecting ozone concentration in water to ensure disinfection effectiveness and prevent excessive water quality problems.

Semiconductor manufacturing: Monitor clean room ozone concentration to prevent material oxidation.

3. Public Space

Swimming pools and fitness centers: Regular sampling of ozone concentration to prevent exceeding standards during deodorization and sterilization processes.

Food processing workshop: Confirm the residual concentration after ozone sterilization to avoid product contamination or employee inhalation risks.
