Operation process and connection method of FH20 humidity generator
Date: 2025-11-27Read: 1

Equipment Introduction

FH20 humidity generator is a laboratory equipment used to generate and precisely control specific humidity environments, widely used in sensor calibration, material testing, quality inspection and other fields. The core principle is to generate an airflow with a target relative humidity (RH) at a specific temperature and pressure by mixing dry gas and saturated moisture. The equipment has the characteristics of high precision, high stability, and easy operation, and is one of the important instruments in environmental simulation and measurement work.

operating procedure

Step 1: Preparation and safety check before operation

Environmental confirmation: Ensure that there are no flammable or explosive materials around the equipment, good ventilation, and keep away from heat sources and strong electromagnetic interference sources.

Air source preparation: Prepare a dry, clean, and pressure stable air source (such as compressed air, nitrogen cylinders). The gas source pressure must meet the rated input pressure requirements of the equipment (usually within a specific range, such as xx kPa, please refer to the specific model manual).

Equipment inspection: Check whether the power cord, gas pipeline, and all interfaces of the equipment are intact, without looseness, aging, or damage. Confirm that the drainage outlet container is in place.

Personal protection: Operators must wear necessary protective equipment.

Step 2: Device Connection

Gas path connection:

Connect the dry gas source to the "Dry Gas In" of the equipment through a pressure regulating valve and filter.

Use the manufacturer's provided or recommended trachea to ensure a secure and leak free connection.

Connect the "Humidified Gas Out" of the device to the inlet of the device under test or calibration chamber through a trachea.

Connect the exhaust port of the test equipment or calibration chamber properly to the ventilation area or exhaust gas treatment device.

Power connection:

Connect the device power cord to a grounded power outlet that meets the specifications.

Step 3: Startup and Preheating

Turn on the power switch, and the device control panel display screen will light up.

The system will perform a self check. After the self-test is completed, the device will enter the standby interface.

Preheat the equipment for at least 30 minutes (or as specified in the manual) to stabilize the internal temperature and humidity, ensuring the accuracy of subsequent operations.

Step 4: Parameter Setting

Enter the parameter settings menu through the touch screen or buttons on the control panel.

Set target parameters:

Set point temperature: Set the required gas temperature according to the experimental requirements.

Set point humidity: Enter the target relative humidity value (% RH).

Gas flow rate: Set the desired output gas flow rate (such as SLPM, standard liters per minute).

After confirming that all parameters are correct, press the "Start/Run" button.

Step 5: Operation and Monitoring

The equipment starts working, mixing dry and wet gases in proportion and outputting them.

Closely observe the readings of "current temperature" and "current humidity" displayed on the control panel.

Wait for the reading to stabilize near the target value (reaching the set value and stabilizing for a period of time). The time required for this process varies depending on the set value and environment.

After stable output, you can start your testing or calibration work.

Step 6: Shutdown operation

After completing all tests, first press the "Stop" button on the operating interface to stop the device from experiencing humidity.

Important: Allow the device to continue running with dry air for 10-15 minutes to blow away any residual moisture in the internal air circuit and saturator, in order to prevent water accumulation from causing damage to the equipment.

Turn off the power switch of the device.

Close the gas source valve.

Disconnect the power cord and air circuit connection (if the device needs to be moved).

Important precautions

Safety is the most important: the entire operation must strictly follow the safety regulations in the manual. Especially the use of gas cylinders and the discharge of high-pressure gases must be operated in accordance with safety regulations.

Air source quality: It is necessary to use a clean and dry air source. Oil, moisture, or particulate matter pollution can seriously damage the core components of the equipment (such as permeation tubes and sensors), leading to a decrease in performance.

Waterproof operation: Do not directly turn off the air source before the blowing stage is completed. After the equipment is shut down, any water that may condense should be properly handled.

Regular maintenance: According to the frequency of use, regularly maintain according to the manual requirements, such as replacing desiccants, filters, supplementing deionized water, etc., to ensure its long-term accuracy and reliability.

By following the above process and precautions, you can safely and efficiently use the FH20 humidity generator to complete various tasks. Please refer to the new manual of your device for specific operations.
