Key points for operation and maintenance of Siemens EDI module
Date: 2025-10-16Read: 2
Siemens EDI moduleIt is an efficient water treatment equipment that combines electrodialysis and ion exchange technology, widely used in the preparation of high-purity water in industries such as electronics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and power.
Siemens EDI moduleKey points of operation and maintenance:
Installation requirements
Vertically installed on the rack, ensuring that the pipeline connections are leak free.
Electrical connections should distinguish between positive and negative poles and ensure reliable grounding.
The installation environment should meet the requirements of temperature and humidity, and avoid corrosive gases.
Daily monitoring
Regularly check parameters such as water resistance, pressure, and flow rate of the produced water.
Monitor the incoming water quality (hardness, organic matter, colloidal silica, etc.).
Maintenance and cleaning
Chemical cleaning: For scaling or organic pollution, acid or alkali cleaning is used.
Physical flushing: Regularly backwash the module to remove sediment.
Resin replacement: If the resin is aging or heavily contaminated, a new resin needs to be replaced.
troubleshooting
Decreased water quality: Check the pre-treatment system, membrane stack status, and electrical control.
Increased pressure difference: Check for internal contamination, scaling, or pipeline blockage.
Resistance reduction: Check whether the incoming water quality, current and voltage are abnormal.
