The so-called reclaimed water mainly refers to non potable water that meets certain water quality standards after urban or domestic sewage treatment and can be reused within a certain range. Its water quality is between upper and lower water, and reclaimed water reuse is the process of treating urban sewage and reusing it as a renewable resource.
The reclaimed water reuse project is an effective win-win solution for water conservation and pollution control. Applied to domestic sewage and some industrial sewage in residential areas, building communities, hotels, nursing homes, comprehensive buildings, etc. After treatment, the reclaimed water can be used for flushing toilets, cars, road greening, irrigating green spaces, and compensating boiler water. There are two treatment methods corresponding to the different purposes of reclaimed water reuse projects:
1. One method is to treat it to the standard of drinking water and directly reuse it in daily life, that is, to achieve direct recycling of water resources. This treatment method is suitable for areas with extremely scarce water resources, but the investment is high and the process is complex;
2. Another method is to treat it to the standard of non potable clean water, mainly used for water that does not come into direct contact with the human body, such as flushing toilets, cleaning floors and cars, watering greenery, firefighting, industrial ordinary water, etc. This is the usual method of treating reclaimed water.
