Thin wire tension meter is an instrument used to accurately measure the tension value of thin cables (such as metal wires, fiber wires, enameled wires, fishing wires, electronic wires, etc.) in static or dynamic states. It is widely used in cable production, textile, electronics and other fields, and is an important equipment to ensure product quality and production process stability. Ensure that the tension remains stable or reaches the preset value during the production process. By detecting the deformation of the wire through sensors, the mechanical force is converted into electrical signals or mechanical readings, providing accurate and quantitative tension parameters for the production line.
The core principle of a fine wire tension meter is to detect the small deformation of the wire after being subjected to force through a sensor, and convert it into a measurable electrical signal. Common types of sensors include:
Strain gauge sensor:
Metal foil or semiconductor strip undergoes slight strain due to stress, resulting in a change in resistance value.
The bridge circuit converts resistance changes into voltage signals, which are amplified and processed to display tension values.
Electromagnetic induction sensor:
The sensing head is made of ferromagnetic material and has two sets of coils inside (primary coil and secondary coil).
The primary coil is supplied with stable alternating current, and when subjected to force, the magnetic field of the ferromagnetic material changes. The secondary coil generates alternating current, which is rectified and outputs a direct current signal.
Roller type sensor:
The wire passes around the pulley, and the pulley bearing is connected to the tension sensor. The tension is calculated by measuring the force on the pulley.
Suitable for dynamic measurement of high-speed moving wires.
Application scenarios
Copper/steel wire production: Monitor the tension in processes such as drawing and twisting to avoid breakage or performance degradation.
Textile industry: Measure the dynamic tension of materials such as yarns and fibers to ensure product quality.
Electronics industry: used for tension control of products such as cables and bundling materials.
