  Drain valve detectorAs a professional equipment for monitoring the working status of drain valves and determining the type of faults, its operational standardization directly affects the accuracy of detection data and the service life of the equipment. To ensure efficient and safe testing work, the following usage precautions must be strictly followed.
1、 Precautions for preparation before use
  Equipment inspection is essentialBefore starting up, it is necessary to check whether the appearance of the detector is intact, and whether the body, probe, and connecting wires are damaged or broken; Confirm that the battery is fully charged. If it is an external power source, check that the supply voltage matches the rated voltage of the device (usually 220V AC or specific DC voltage) to avoid unstable voltage and damage to the internal circuit.
  Probe calibration should be standardizedAfter the first use or long-term non use, the detection probe should be calibrated according to the equipment manual requirements, and the accuracy of temperature, pressure, sound waves and other detection parameters should be checked using standard calibration parts. If the calibration is not qualified, it cannot be put into use.
  Assess the on-site environment firstConfirm the testing site environment in advance to ensure there is no strong electromagnetic interference (such as staying away from large transformers, welding machines, and other equipment), and avoid interfering with the testing signal; If there are high-temperature, high-pressure pipelines or flammable and explosive media on site, protective measures should be taken, such as wearing high-temperature resistant gloves, safety helmets and other protective equipment, and confirming that the testing area is well ventilated.
2、 Precautions for operation during use
  The placement of probes requires attention to detailPlace the detection probe tightly against the designated detection point on the inlet and outlet pipelines or valve body of the drain valve, ensuring a tight and stable contact to avoid data fluctuations caused by loose probes; It is forbidden to directly contact the probe with the sealing surface or weld seam of the high-temperature valve body to prevent probe damage, and to avoid burns caused by hand contact with high-temperature components.
  Parameter settings need to be preciseAccording to the model, specifications (such as nominal diameter, working pressure, medium type) and detection requirements of the drain valve, correctly set parameters such as temperature range, pressure threshold, and sound frequency on the detector. Incorrect parameter settings can lead to deviation in detection results, making it difficult to accurately determine faults such as drain valve leakage and blockage.
  Adhere to standardized testing proceduresFollow the process of "power on preheating - select detection mode - locate detection point - data acquisition - data saving", and keep the probe stable for 3-5 seconds when collecting data to ensure sufficient data collection; Avoid plugging or unplugging probe connection wires during device operation to prevent short circuits from damaging the device.
  Safe operation memory roomDuring the testing process, it is prohibited to rinse the detector or probe with water to avoid liquid infiltration into the interior of the equipment; If there are corrosive media on site, residual substances on the surface of the probe should be cleaned in a timely manner; When abnormal heating, abnormal noise or displaying fault codes are found in the equipment, it should be immediately turned off and the power should be cut off. It is not allowed to continue using it forcibly.
3、 Precautions for post use maintenance
  Equipment cleaning should be done in a timely mannerAfter the inspection is completed, wipe the body and probe of the detector with a clean soft cloth to remove surface dust and oil stains; If there are stubborn stains on the surface of the probe, dip a small amount of neutral cleaner and gently wipe it. Do not use corrosive solvents to prevent damage to the probe protective layer.
  Proper storage and safekeeping are requiredPut the detector and accessories (probe, connecting wire, calibration parts, charger) into a dedicated storage box to avoid squeezing and collision; The storage environment should be dry and ventilated, with a temperature controlled between -10 ℃~40 ℃ and a relative humidity not exceeding 85%. It should be kept away from direct sunlight and corrosive gases.
  Regular maintenance should not be ignoredRegular maintenance should be carried out according to the equipment manual, including battery charging and discharging (once a month when not in use for a long time), probe sensitivity testing, and insulation inspection of connecting wires; Establish a device usage ledger to record usage time, testing items, fault conditions, and maintenance content.
4、 Other special precautions
Different brands and modelsDrain valve detectorThere may be differences in operational details. Before use, it is necessary to carefully read the equipment manual, familiarize oneself with the operation process and functional buttons, and prohibit arbitrary operation based on experience.
The detection data should be saved and backed up in a timely manner to avoid data loss due to equipment failure or misoperation; When there are doubts about the test results, repeat the test or use other testing instruments for comparison and verification.
When the equipment malfunctions, professional maintenance personnel or manufacturer after-sales service should be contacted for handling. It is forbidden to disassemble or repair it by oneself to avoid damaging the equipment or affecting the detection accuracy.
