1. Prepare samples and reagents

2. Add reagents
Add the water sample to the colorimetric tube provided in the reagent kit.

3. Mixing and Reaction
Cover like a color tube, gently shake and mix to ensure that the reagent fully reacts with the water sample.
Generally, it takes a few minutes (usually 5-10 minutes) to wait, depending on the reaction time of the reagent.
4. Colorimetric measurement
Observe the color changes of the water sample using a colorimeter or visual inspection method. The depth of color is directly proportional to the concentration of nitrate nitrogen in water.
If a colorimeter is used, place the colorimetric tube into the instrument, and the instrument will automatically display the concentration value of nitrate nitrogen.
5. Result recording and analysis
The colorimetric method determines the concentration of nitrate nitrogen based on color changes. Usually, reagent kits come with standard color cards or instrument displayed concentration ranges.
6. Cleaning and waste disposal
After use, clean the colorimetric tube and other equipment to avoid contaminating the next test.
Dispose of discarded reagents and samples according to regulations.

Ensure that the temperature of the operating environment is appropriate, as temperature changes may affect reaction speed and results.
Carefully add reagents and mix according to the instructions.
When comparing color results, choose appropriate lighting conditions (avoid direct sunlight) to ensure accuracy.
Read the results promptly after the reaction is complete to prevent color changes from affecting accuracy.
