Test method for density of constant temperature perfume essence density hydrometer
Date: 2025-12-15Read: 0
Thermostatic perfume essence density hydrometer is an instrument used to measure the density (specific gravity) of liquid, especially suitable for perfume, essence and other industries. It ensures the accuracy of test results by measuring at a constant temperature. The following is the basic method of density test using constant temperature perfume essence density hydrometer:
test preparation
Equipment preparation:
Ensure that the constant temperature specific gravity meter is functioning properly and set at the desired testing temperature (usually 20 ° C or other standard temperature).
Check the cleanliness of the densitometer to ensure that there are no residues affecting the test results.
Sample preparation:
When sampling, ensure that the sample is evenly mixed at the testing temperature to avoid stratification of different components.
Use clean containers to contain samples of perfume or essence to be tested.
Test steps
Calibration of specific gravity meter:
Before conducting sample testing, calibrate with a standard liquid of known density (such as pure water) to ensure accurate readings of the densitometer.
Temperature control:
Place the densitometer in a constant temperature bath to ensure its temperature is stable. According to the needs, heating or cooling devices can be used to adjust to the preset temperature.
Immersion sample:
Slowly immerse the measuring tube of the densitometer into the sample, ensuring that no bubbles adhere to the surface of the densitometer.
Require the sample to fill the measuring container to avoid air gaps.
Static observation:
Wait for a few minutes to ensure the reading of the densitometer is stable. This process can reduce the impact of temperature induced fluctuations on the results.
Read data:
Observe the scale of the densitometer and record the displayed density value. Normally, density is expressed in grams per milliliter (g/mL).
Multiple tests:
To improve the reliability of the results, it is recommended to conduct multiple measurements on the same batch of samples and calculate the average value.
data recording
Record the density values measured each time and the temperature during testing for subsequent analysis.
If the sample temperature is different from the set temperature of the densitometer, temperature correction is required, using the corresponding formula or table for adjustment.
Precautions
Ensure stable temperature and humidity in the operating environment to reduce the impact of external factors on test results.
All experimental equipment must be kept clean to avoid cross contamination.
Relevant safety regulations shall be followed during operation to avoid direct contact of skin and eyes with perfume or essence samples.
