Its principle is based on the electric method, and it has the characteristics of fast measurement speed, convenient operation, and intuitive results. 1、 Preparation work before operation
Before starting the measurement, please ensure that the instrument is in a suitable working environment. It is recommended to maintain the ambient temperature between 5 ℃ and 40 ℃, humidity below 85%, and ensure that the working power supply is AC220V (± 10%), 50Hz. Place the instrument on a stable and ventilated table, and check whether the power cord, electrodes, mixer and other accessories are connected properly. After turning on, the instrument screen will display information such as date and time. You can first check or adjust the system parameters through the menu interface.
2、 Basic steps for sample measurement
Instrument initialization: After turning on the power, the instrument usually performs a self-test. After the screen is ready to display, enter the measurement interface. If the instrument supports automatic electrolytic drying function, the program can be started first until the background value stabilizes and reaches a state where measurement can begin.
Sample injection: Use a dry sampler to accurately sample. Note that the injection volume should be within the measurement range of the instrument (e.g. 3 μ g~100mg water) to avoid exceeding the load. When injecting the sample, it should be slowly and steadily injected into the electrolytic cell to prevent splashing or bringing in external moisture.
Start measurement: After injecting the sample, the instrument will automatically start electrolysis and display real-time changes in moisture content. During the measurement process, the instrument automatically controls the electrolysis speed and can observe the water accumulation value through the screen. At the end of the measurement, the instrument usually indicates the endpoint through beeps, indicator lights, or screen prompts.
Result recording and processing: After the measurement is completed, the moisture value will be directly displayed on the screen, and the data can be output through the built-in printer. Instruments generally have the function of automatic conversion between μ g and ppm units, and can record the results of corresponding units as needed. Note that within the moisture range of 10 μ g to 1mg, the typical accuracy of the instrument is ± 3 μ g, and the relative error is about 0.3% when it is higher than 1mg. When analyzing, the reliability of the results should be evaluated based on specific measurement values.
3、 Key points for daily use and maintenance
Electrolytic cell maintenance: The electrolytic cell is the core component of the instrument and should be cleaned promptly after use to avoid sample residue. When not in use for a long time, it is recommended to inject an appropriate amount of dry solvent for storage and keep the electrode clean.
Environmental control: Laboratories should try to avoid drastic fluctuations in temperature and humidity to prevent environmental moisture from interfering with measurement results. It is recommended to cover the instrument to prevent dust when not in use.
Regular verification: Standard hydrates or known water samples can be used regularly for result comparison to ensure stable instrument status. If drift or abnormality is found, the system deviation can be corrected according to the instructions or technical support can be contacted.
Safety precautions: Avoid contact with the reagents inside the electrolytic cell during operation, and do not open the chassis in a humid environment. The power consumption of the instrument is about 60W, and attention should be paid to heat dissipation when using it continuously for a long time.
4、 Common Problems and Solutions
The endpoint measurement does not stop: possible reasons include interference from environmental moisture, dirty electrolytic cells, or reagent failure. You can try to re dry the electrolytic cell, replace the reagents, or check the sealing.
Poor repeatability of results: Check whether the injection volume is accurate, whether the sample is uniform, and ensure that the electrolytic cell is in a stable dry state. Note that the properties of the sample itself, such as volatility and viscosity, may have an impact on the measurement.
Printer not working: Check if the paper is installed correctly, if the print head is clean, and confirm that the printing function is turned on in the instrument settings.
