This standard replaces GB/T12098-1989 "Method for determination of starch viscosity".
The main modifications of this standard compared to GB/T12098-1989 are as follows:
The standard name has been changed to "Determination of Starch Viscosity";
- Added detection method: the Brabant viscometer method was included as the second detection method in the standard,
- Standardized detection methods: specified the conductivity of water for detection, with conductivity ≤ 4 μ S/cm;
- Improved the standard format and standardized units according to the unit system;
- Added "5 experimental reports".
Appendix A of this standard is an informative appendix.
This standard was proposed and managed by the China Chamber of Commerce.
