Working principle of syringe tightness positive pressure tester
Date: 2025-12-15Read: 0

In the medical field, syringes serve as the core tool for drug delivery, and their sealing performance directly affects the patient's medication safety and treatment efficacy.Syringe Tightness Positive Pressure TesterAs a key equipment for quality inspection, we provide authoritative certification for the sealing performance of each syringe through a scientific and rigorous testing process that simulates the positive pressure environment in real usage scenarios.

Core principle: Positive pressure simulation and pressure monitoring

The working principle of the testing device is based on the "positive pressure testing method", which simulates the impact force of Chinese medicine on the device wall during injection by applying gas pressure higher than atmospheric pressure (usually 200kPa to 300kPa) to the inside of the syringe. During testing, the syringe is fixed in a sealed chamber, and its tapered hole is sealed with a reference steel joint that meets international standards (such as GB/T 1962.1) to ensure the sealing of the testing environment. Subsequently, the system injects compressed air or inert gas into the syringe to create a stable positive pressure environment.

The pressure sensor monitors internal pressure changes in real-time, and the data is transmitted to the control system through a high-speed processing chip. If the syringe is well sealed, the pressure value will remain stable within the set time (such as 30 seconds); If there are small cracks or sealing ring defects, gas will escape and cause a pressure drop. The testing instrument automatically determines whether the product is qualified by comparing the pressure drop rate with a preset threshold (such as ≤ 5kPa/min), and outputs a complete test report through a LCD screen or printer, covering key information such as equipment serial number, sample batch number, and experimental personnel.

Technical Support: Precision Design and Standard Compliance

The accuracy of the testing instrument comes from multidimensional technical support:

  1. Sensor system: Imported high-precision pressure sensors are used, with a measurement range covering 0-400kPa and an error control within ± 1%, ensuring that even small pressure changes can be captured;

  2. Fixture design: equipped with adjustable and user-friendly fixtures, suitable for different specifications of syringes (such as 1ml to 50ml), simulating the most unfavorable bending direction of the core rod through a lateral force device (0.25N-3N), and comprehensively evaluating the sealing performance;

  3. Environmental control: The testing environment temperature should be controlled between 15 ℃ -50 ℃, with a relative humidity of ≤ 80%, to avoid thermal expansion, contraction, or condensation affecting the results;

  4. Standard compliance: Strictly follow international standards such as GB 15810-2019 "Disposable Sterile Syringes" and ISO 7886, and the testing process is highly consistent with clinical use scenarios.

Application value: Full chain protection from production to clinical practice

In the production process of medical devices, testing equipment is the "firewall" for quality control. Taking a certain enterprise as an example, its production line extracts 10% of syringes from each batch for positive pressure testing. Through abnormal pressure curves, a batch of sealing ring material defects were discovered, which prevented about 200000 unqualified products from entering the market. In clinical practice, the hospital procurement department uses testing equipment to randomly inspect supplier products to ensure that syringes do not leak during high-pressure injection (such as CT enhanced scanning) or long-term storage, reducing the risk of patient infection.

From precision sensors to standardized processes, the positive pressure tester for syringe tightness has built a strong medical safety defense line with technological strength. It is not only an essential tool for enterprises to pass GMP certification, but also an "invisible guardian" of patient medication safety, conveying reverence and responsibility for life in every precise injection.
