Technical principle of syringe liquid thrust tester
Date: 2025-12-22Read: 0

The syringe drug thrust tester is a core equipment used in the medical device field to accurately evaluate the performance of syringes. Its technical principle integrates three core modules: mechanical loading, high-precision sensing, and intelligent data processing. By simulating real injection scenarios, it provides quantitative basis for quality control of syringes.

Mechanical loading moduleIt is the power core of the tester, using a linear loading device driven by a servo motor, which can apply thrust to the syringe push rod at a constant speed or preset acceleration. For example, when simulating insulin injection, the loading device can be set to a uniform speed of 10mm/min to accurately reproduce the manual injection action of medical staff; In emergency scenario testing, a rapid injection speed of 300mm/min can be achieved through acceleration mode to verify the performance stability of the syringe under extreme conditions. This module adjusts the thrust output in real-time through a closed-loop control system to ensure the smoothness and repeatability of the loading process, avoiding testing errors caused by speed fluctuations.

High precision sensing moduleComposed of force sensors and displacement sensors, a dual dimensional data acquisition network is formed. The force sensor is based on the principle of strain gauges. When the push rod is subjected to force, the metal strain gauge deforms, causing a change in resistance value. It is converted into a voltage signal through a Wheatstone bridge circuit and ultimately analyzed as a thrust value. Its measurement range usually covers 0.1N to 100N, with an accuracy of ± 0.1N, which can accurately capture small force fluctuations during the injection process. The displacement sensor adopts linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) technology, which generates mutual inductance changes through the relative displacement of the iron core in the coil, and outputs an electrical signal proportional to the piston stroke, achieving a displacement resolution of 0.01mm level. For example, when testing a 1mL syringe, the system can simultaneously record the peak thrust and piston movement curve to determine if there is any sticking or sealing failure issue.

Intelligent data processing moduleIt is the "brain" of the tester, integrating a data acquisition card and specialized analysis software. During the testing process, the sensor signal is amplified and filtered before being converted into a digital signal by a high-speed ADC chip. The sampling frequency can reach 10kHz to ensure that no transient force changes are missed. The software system can automatically generate visual reports such as thrust time curves and thrust displacement curves, and annotate key parameters such as maximum thrust, average thrust, and thrust fluctuation range. For example, when testing pre filled syringes, the system can analyze the uniformity of injection resistance through the slope of the curve. If the slope suddenly changes by more than 10%, it is judged as an unqualified product. In addition, the module also supports multi standard compatibility mode, which can automatically generate compliance reports based on international and domestic standards such as ISO 7886 and GB 15810, providing data support for quality traceability and process optimization of production enterprises.
