The trial operation of glass fermentation tanks before use should follow the following steps and key points:
1. Equipment status pre check:
Integrity check: Focus on checking whether there are cracks, scratches or wear on the glass of the can body to ensure that there are no defects that affect the sealing and structural stability.
Functional component testing: After connecting the power supply, check whether the motor starts smoothly, whether the mixer rotates without any abnormal noise or jamming, and confirm that all power components can work normally.
Sealing system verification: Carefully inspect the sealing components (such as sealing rings and gaskets) at the tank mouth and interface. If aging, deformation, or damage is found, they should be replaced in a timely manner to avoid leakage during subsequent use.
2. Cleaning and sterilization treatment of glass fermentation tanks:
Residual cleaning: Rinse the inner and outer walls of the tank repeatedly with clean drinking water to remove any impurities or chemicals that may remain, ensuring that there are no pollutants inside the tank.
Sterilization operation: For glass tanks, supporting pipelines, valves and other instruments, high-temperature sterilization (such as wet heat sterilization) or ultraviolet sterilization methods are used to completely kill harmful microorganisms.
3. Installation and commissioning:
Fixed and placed: Place the fermentation tank steadily on a sturdy support with a load-bearing capacity that meets the standard and is level, and tighten it with matching screws to prevent the equipment from shaking during operation.
Interface connection: According to the operating procedures in the equipment manual, connect the supporting equipment such as the inlet pipe, outlet pipe, and sampling pipe. After connection, check the sealing of the interface one by one to ensure that there are no air or liquid leakage problems.
System trial operation: After installation, start the equipment for 2-3 hours of no-load or simulated operation, during which closely observe parameters such as pressure, temperature, and mixing speed. If abnormal noises, leaks, or other anomalies are found, the machine should be immediately shut down for maintenance. Only after all problems are resolved and the equipment is running stably, can the formal experimental process begin.
4. Calibration of glass fermentation tank electrodes and sensors:
PH electrode calibration: Use a standard buffer solution to calibrate the pH electrode using a two-point method to ensure measurement accuracy.
Zero point calibration of dissolved oxygen (DO) electrode: Use saturated or supersaturated anhydrous sodium sulfite solution to calibrate the dissolved oxygen (DO) electrode to eliminate baseline drift.
Other sensor inspection: Confirm that temperature sensors, liquid level electrodes, and other sensors are connected correctly and data transmission is stable.
5. Confirmation of Safety and Operating Standards:
Safety device inspection: Ensure that overpressure protection devices such as safety valves and rupture discs are working properly to prevent safety accidents caused by excessive pressure.
Operation specification training: Operators need to be familiar with the equipment operation process and understand the emergency response measures, such as strictly prohibiting crossing the protective fence and putting hands into the mixing area during equipment operation.
