What are the methods to maintain explosion-proof electronic scales
Date: 2025-12-04Read: 24
Explosion proof electronic balance is a high-precision measuring instrument widely used in hazardous environments such as chemical, pharmaceutical, and food processing where flammable and explosive gases or dust exist. In order to ensure its normal operation and extend its service life, meticulous daily maintenance and upkeep must be carried out. Here are some important details about the maintenance of explosion-proof electronic scales:
1、 Environmental requirements
1. Temperature control: Maintain stable temperature in the working environment and avoid drastic changes. Ideally, the room temperature should be maintained at around 20 ℃, and the daily temperature difference should not exceed 5 ℃. Excessively high or low temperatures can affect the performance of sensors.
2. Humidity management: It is generally recommended to maintain a relative humidity between 45% and 65%. Excessive humidity may cause a short circuit in the circuit board; However, excessive dryness can easily generate static electricity and interfere with the operation of electronic components.
3. Cleanliness: Ensure that the usage area is clean and dust-free, regularly clean the dust, and prevent small particles from entering the machine and causing damage. Especially for devices with fan cooling, it is important to pay attention to not blocking the ventilation openings.
2、 Power management
1. Stable voltage supply: High quality uninterruptible power supply (UPS) is used to provide stable voltage input for the balance, reducing faults caused by grid fluctuations.
2. Good grounding: Ensure reliable grounding of the equipment to eliminate possible static electricity accumulation and improve anti-interference ability.
3. Power off protection: When not in use, promptly turn off the main switch and unplug the plug to prevent lightning strikes or other unexpected situations from damaging electrical components.
3、 Operating standards
1. Handle with care: Whether placing samples or moving the entire device, caution should be taken to avoid collisions that may cause damage to the internal structure.
2. Moderate weighing: Do not exceed the maximum carrying capacity limit to avoid overloading and damaging the weighing system.
3. Uniform distribution: Distribute the measured object evenly on the tray, with the center of gravity as close as possible to the center position, in order to obtain more accurate results.
4. Slow loading: When adding items, take it slow as rapid loading may cause impact loads and be detrimental to sensitive components.
4、 Regular inspection and calibration
1. Appearance inspection: Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the shell at least once a month to check for cracks, deformations, and other issues; Confirm that all screws are tightened without any looseness.
2. Functional testing: Follow the manufacturer's guidelines to perform a self check program and verify whether all indicators meet the standard requirements. If any abnormalities are found, immediately stop using and contact professional personnel for repair.
3. Re calibration: Depending on the frequency of use, it is necessary to submit it to the institution for professional calibration every six months to one year or so to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results. In addition, after replacing key components, they must also be recalibrated.
5、 Special precautions
1. Anti corrosion measures: For certain specific industries (such as petrochemicals), additional protective measures need to be taken, such as spraying anti rust paint or selecting accessories made of corrosion-resistant materials.
2. Emergency response plan: Develop detailed emergency plans to respond quickly in case of leaks or other emergencies, minimizing losses to the greatest extent possible.
