Cold repair glue for mining rubber sheathed cablesPolyurethane rubber, a two-component reactive material, is one of the special synthetic rubber varieties and an ideal material for cold repair of mining cables.
Repair materials and tools:
(1) Repair materials:
(1) Cold repair glue for mining rubber sheathed cables.
(2) Polyethylene sheet. (Thickness of about 1 millimeter)
(3) Polyethylene funnel.
(4) Polyethylene flow adhesive sleeve.
(5) High voltage insulation tape.
(6) Plastic adhesive tape.
(7) Protective belt.
(2) Repair tools:
(1) Puncher (inner diameter 10mm)
(2) Electric knife.
(3) Hand pliers.
(4) Screwdriver. medium size
(5) Wooden file. medium size
pour
(1) Pour the mixed adhesive into the funnel within 3-5 minutes. It is semi transparent to the mold, so the filling of the adhesive can be clearly seen. When the cavity mold is filled with adhesive material and there is adhesive flow on both sides of the adhesive sleeve, stop injecting adhesive. But after pouring, if the liquid level of the adhesive drops, the adhesive should be replenished in a timely manner.
(2) After pouring, if bubbles are found inside the mold, a needle can be used to puncture the mold where the bubbles are located and release the gas.
(3) If there is an error in estimating the rubber material and the mold cavity is not full after pouring, additional rubber material can be added to continue pouring until it is full.
Application method:
(1) When the sheath layer has a small break or the core wire is not damaged, it should be repaired by coating.
(2) Generally, when repairing, the power supply should be stopped first. If the core wire is not exposed, it can also be repaired with electricity.
(3) Firstly, remove the coal powder and oil stains from the broken area and surrounding surfaces. Then, cut the broken area into a concave surface and use a wooden file to roughen the concave surface and its surroundings, exposing a fresh surface to increase the bonding area and make the bonding firm.
