Installation details of vacuum drying oven
Date: 2025-09-03Read: 0
As a commonly used drying equipment in laboratories and industrial production, the installation quality of vacuum drying oven directly affects the performance and service life of the equipment. The following is an explanation from three aspects: preliminary preparation, installation steps, and key detail control, to assist users in achieving standardized installation.
1、 Preliminary preparation and environmental assessment
1. Principles of venue selection
Priority should be given to selecting a dry and well ventilated independent space, away from water sources, fire sources, and strong electromagnetic interference sources (such as centrifuges and ultrasonic equipment). The ground should be flat and sturdy, capable of carrying the weight of the equipment when fully loaded (including the total weight of the box, partition, and sample). It is recommended to reserve an operating space of ≥ 0.5 square meters for heat dissipation and maintenance.
2. Verification of power adaptability
Confirm that the power supply line has sufficient capacity by comparing the voltage (single-phase/three-phase), frequency, and power parameters indicated on the equipment nameplate. If it is a three-phase power supply, a dedicated wiring block should be equipped and an independent air switch (rated current ≥ 1.5 times the maximum operating current of the equipment) should be set up. Attention must be paid to reliable grounding protection, with a grounding resistance of ≤ 4 Ω to prevent the risk of leakage.
3. List of auxiliary tools
Prepare a level gauge, wrench (for tightening bolts), raw material tape (for sealing threaded interfaces), dust-proof cloth, and cleaning agent (isopropanol or neutral detergent) in advance. Do not use organic solvents to wipe the shell to prevent corrosion of the coating.
2、 Core installation steps breakdown
1. Unpacking and visual inspection
Be careful to remove the outer packaging and check the packing list to confirm that all accessories are complete (host, shelf, vacuum pump, instruction manual, etc.). Focus on checking the box for any transportation damage, especially whether the door seal is intact and not deformed, and observe whether there are cracks in the window glass. If there are obvious dents or damages, contact the supplier immediately for replacement.
2. Horizontal adjustment and positioning
Place the box in the designated position and adjust it to a horizontal position using the bottom adjustable support foot and level gauge. The error should be controlled within ± 1mm, otherwise it may cause a decrease in temperature uniformity inside the box or abnormal accumulation of condensed water. Adjust and tighten the locking nut to secure the foot.
3. Connection of pneumatic system
-Vacuum pump docking: Metal bellows or negative pressure resistant silicone tubing is used to connect the suction port of the box body to the inlet end of the vacuum pump, and a raw material tape is wrapped around the interface to enhance sealing. Before starting the vacuum pump, it is necessary to close the air release valve of the box and gradually extract to the working vacuum degree (usually<133Pa).
-Ventilation valve test: Repeatedly open and close the ventilation valve on the top of the box to check if the action is flexible. When closed, it should be able to maintain the set vacuum degree without significant drop.
4. Electrical circuit connection
Strictly follow the wiring diagram to complete the power line connection, distinguishing between neutral, live, and ground wires. For three-phase equipment, it is necessary to ensure the correct phase sequence to avoid motor reversal. After the wiring is completed, use a multimeter to measure the insulation resistance between each terminal, which should be ≥ 2M Ω. Only after confirming that there are no errors can power be applied.
3、 Key details and safety regulations
1. Key inspection of door seals
The rubber sealing ring is the core component for maintaining vacuum, and after installation, it needs to be manually touched around the door frame to confirm that there is no distortion or gap. Aging and cracked door seals should be replaced in a timely manner, otherwise it may lead to insufficient vacuum or increased energy consumption.
2. Key points for initial trial operation
Set the low-temperature program (such as 60 ℃) under no-load condition, start the vacuum system and run it for 2 hours, monitor the temperature control accuracy (fluctuation value should be ≤± 1 ℃) and vacuum holding capacity. If there are no abnormalities, gradually increase to the common temperature for full load testing.
3. Long term use and maintenance tips
-Regularly clean the volatile substances attached to the surface of the condenser to prevent blockage and affect refrigeration efficiency;
-Check the oil level and pollution level of the vacuum pump every month, and replace the special engine oil according to the instructions;
-Avoid frequent and significant temperature fluctuations, and it is recommended that the temperature difference does not exceed 20 ℃/h each time to extend the lifespan of the heating element.
4、 Common Misconceptions Warning
Error demonstration: Directly stacking items on an unsecured shelf may cause the shelf to slip and damage the heating tube;
Risk warning: Forcefully opening the door without releasing the vacuum state may cause deformation of the box or injury to personnel.
