How to extend the service life of a blast drying oven
Date: 2025-05-14Read: 0
The blast drying oven is a commonly used constant temperature drying equipment in laboratories and industrial production, and its stability and safety directly affect the experimental or production results. Scientific maintenance can extend equipment life, ensure performance, and reduce the risk of failure. The following are the maintenance points of the blast drying oven, covering daily maintenance, regular inspections, cleaning and disinfection, and safe operation.
1、 Daily maintenance
1. Appearance and environmental inspection
-Cleaning the shell: Wipe the surface of the box with a damp cloth daily to remove dust and stains, and avoid residual corrosive liquids.
-Environmental monitoring: Ensure that there is no accumulation of debris around the equipment, good ventilation (it is recommended to reserve ≥ 30cm of heat dissipation space), and stay away from heat sources and humid areas.
-Sealing inspection: After each use, observe whether the sealing strip of the box door is tightly fitted. If it ages or deforms, it should be replaced in a timely manner.
2. Record of operating parameters
-Temperature monitoring: Before use, check whether the displayed value of the temperature control instrument is consistent with the actual temperature, and the error should be ≤± 2 ℃.
-Operation status record: Record the usage time, set temperature, actual temperature, and abnormal conditions (such as fan noise, heating delay, etc.) each time.
3. Operating standards
-Preheating and Cooling: Preheat without load for 10-15 minutes before use. After turning off, wait for the box to reach room temperature before turning off the power to avoid damaging components due to excessive temperature differences.
-Material placement: Samples should be evenly placed, not exceeding the shelf's load-bearing limit (usually ≤ 15kg/layer), to avoid blocking the air duct.
2、 Regular inspection and calibration
1. Calibration of temperature control system
-Cycle: It is recommended to calibrate once every quarter or after 500 hours of continuous use.
-Method: Use a standard thermometer (accuracy ± 0.1 ℃) placed at the geometric center of the box, compare the displayed temperature with the actual temperature, and correct the deviation through PID parameter adjustment.
-Backup plan: If the deviation exceeds ± 5 ℃, contact the manufacturer to reset the temperature control program or replace the sensor.
2. Maintenance of the blower system
-Fan inspection: Check the operation sound of the fan every month. If there is excessive vibration or abnormal bearing noise, it is necessary to disassemble and clean the dust on the blades, and add high-temperature resistant lubricating grease (such as Mobil SHC200).
-Air duct cleaning: Clean the air inlet filter every six months, use a vacuum cleaner to remove internal dust, and ensure stable air flow.
3. Electrical safety testing
-Line inspection: Check the power cord, plug, and thermostat wiring for aging and damage every year, and the grounding resistance should be ≤ 4 Ω.
-Heating element test: After disconnecting the power supply, use a multimeter to check the resistance value of the heating tube. If the deviation exceeds 10% of the nominal value, it needs to be replaced.
3、 Cleaning and disinfection
1. Internal cavity cleaning
-Routine cleaning: Clean the residue promptly after use, wipe the inner wall with a mild cleaning agent (such as 1% neutral detergent solution), and avoid using organic solvents such as acetone and ethanol.
-Stubborn stain treatment: For coking or carbonization residues, a soft bristled brush can be used in conjunction with a specialized descaling agent (such as hydrogen peroxide solution) for local cleaning.
2. Disinfection operation
-High temperature disinfection: Under no-load conditions, sterilize at 160 ℃ for 1 hour, suitable for general microbial control.
-UV assisted: Some models can be equipped with UV lamps, which can be irradiated for 30 minutes at room temperature to enhance the disinfection effect.
4、 Storage and deactivation management
1. Long term shutdown protection
-Drying treatment: Close all valves and place desiccants (such as silicone bags) to absorb internal moisture.
-Dust prevention measures: Cover the box with a dust cover and power on once a month to maintain capacitor performance.
2. Preparation before restart
-Comprehensive inspection: Before resuming use, it is necessary to test the circuit, sealing strip, and temperature control system. After confirming that they are correct, conduct a 2-hour no-load trial run.
5、 Safety operation standards
1. Protective measures
-Anti scald: Wear insulated gloves when taking and placing samples to avoid contact with high-temperature surfaces on the inner wall.
-Explosion prevention risk: Dry flammable and explosive materials (such as ethanol and benzene) are strictly prohibited. If they must be used, inert gas protection devices must be equipped.
2. Emergency response
-Overtemperature alarm: If the temperature control fails and the temperature is out of control, immediately cut off the power and open the box door for natural heat dissipation.
-Electrical malfunction: When smoke or burnt smell appears, quickly unplug the power plug and contact a professional electrician for maintenance.
