Timely resolution of laboratory crusher issues is the core to ensure its stable operation
Date: 2025-12-23Read: 2

The laboratory crusher is a key pre-treatment equipment used in the fields of biology, chemistry, food, and medicine for sample crushing, cell lysis, emulsification, and homogenization. It generates strong shear force through high-speed rotation of the blade, achieving rapid crushing. In high-frequency use, problems such as motor overheating, tool jamming, abnormal noise, and sample splashing may occur due to improper operation, lack of maintenance, or aging of accessories, which not only affect experimental efficiency but may also cause safety accidents. Scientifically identifying problems with laboratory crushers and taking targeted measures is the core of ensuring stable equipment operation.

1、 Difficulty in starting the motor or automatic shutdown
Reason: Excessive or hard sample, or motor overheating protection triggered.
resolvent:
Control the sample volume to no more than 2/3 of the container to avoid overloading;
Pre cut large samples (such as tissues, plant roots and stems) to prevent the blade from instantly clogging and turning;
Continuous work ≤ 1 minute, cooling interval of 2-3 minutes to prevent triggering protection due to excessive temperature rise.
2、 The blade is stuck or the rotation speed is significantly reduced
Due to foreign object entanglement, bearing wear, or blade passivation:
Immediately cut off the power, use specialized tools to disassemble the blade assembly, and remove fibers, fascia, and other entanglements;
Check if the blade is curled or chipped, and replace it promptly (it is recommended to evaluate every 50-100 hours of use);
Regularly add a small amount of food grade lubricating grease to the blade shaft (if the structure allows) to maintain the flexibility of the bearing.
3、 Severe vibration or abnormal noise
Typically, the knife group is not securely installed or the container is unbalanced:
Confirm that the blade is tightened in place and the cup body buckle is locked in place;
Use matching original containers to avoid resonance caused by uneven wall thickness of glass cups;
If it is a desktop model, check whether the shock absorber foot pad is aging and replace it if necessary.
4、 Sample leakage or splashing
The root cause is the aging of the sealing ring or the lid not being tightly closed:
Before each use, check whether the silicone sealing ring is deformed or cracked. It is recommended to replace it every 3-6 months;
Close the lid tightly before starting, and install an exhaust filter membrane when dealing with highly volatile solvents;
For viscous samples (such as sauces and pastes), use a "pulse" jog mode to reduce splashing.
