The maintenance of the fully automatic powder tablet press is centered on "regular cleaning, component inspection, lubrication and protection". The process is simple and standardized, which can effectively avoid problems such as equipment jamming and reduced tablet accuracy, and extend the service life.
1、 Daily maintenance: must be done after each use
Cleaning equipment surfaces and parts in contact with materials
Wipe the machine body with a dry soft cloth to remove residual powder and prevent dust from entering the interior of the equipment and causing parts wear.
Disassemble the feeding hopper, material shoes, middle mold, and punch (operate according to the equipment manual), blow off residual powder with compressed air, or wipe with an alcohol swab (avoid using water to prevent rust), clean and reinstall.
Check the status of vulnerable parts
Check if there are scratches or deformations on the punch, and if the middle die hole is worn (if there are burrs or uneven thickness on the pressing plate, it may be due to wear on the punch or middle die). If any problems are found, replace them in a timely manner.
Check for cracks in the feeding hopper and material shoes to ensure smooth material transportation and no powder leakage.
2、 Regular maintenance: performed weekly/monthly
1. Weekly maintenance: Focus on inspecting the transmission and pressing system
Check the fastening bolts: Use a wrench to check whether the bolts in key parts such as the machine body, pressure wheel, and motor are loose, especially the bolts in the pressing mechanism. Loose bolts can cause unstable pressing pressure.
Cleaning guide components: Clean the dust inside the punch guide hole, apply 1-2 drops of specialized lubricating oil (avoid using ordinary engine oil to prevent material contamination), and ensure smooth up and down movement of the punch.
2. Monthly maintenance: focus on lubrication and system inspection
Comprehensive lubrication: Add lubricating grease or oil to the designated locations in the equipment manual (such as spindle bearings, pressure wheel bearings, and transmission gears), paying attention to the amount used, as excessive amounts can easily adsorb dust.
Check the hydraulic/pneumatic system (for hydraulic/pneumatic tablet presses): Check whether the oil level of the hydraulic/pneumatic oil is normal, whether the oil quality is cloudy (if cloudy, replace it), and check whether there is any air or oil leakage at the pipeline interface.
Calibration of tablet pressing accuracy: Use a micrometer to measure the thickness and hardness of the pressed tablet. If the deviation exceeds the range, adjust the pressure of the pressing wheel or the height of the punch according to the instructions.
3、 Long term maintenance: quarterly/yearly execution
Quarterly inspection: Remove the protective cover, check the operation status of the motor and reducer, listen for any abnormal noise (such as bearing wear), and clean the dust inside the equipment (using a vacuum cleaner).
Annual maintenance: Please have professional personnel conduct a comprehensive disassembly and inspection of the equipment, replace aging seals, bearings, and other components, calibrate precision components such as pressure sensors and thickness sensors, and ensure that the equipment meets performance standards.
4、 Key precautions
During maintenance, it is necessary to cut off power, gas/hydraulic power to avoid safety accidents caused by accidental start-up.
Lubrication requires the use of designated types of oil for the equipment, and different types of oil should not be mixed to prevent component corrosion.
When the equipment is not used for a long time, the punch and middle mold should be disassembled and coated with anti rust oil. The feeding hopper and other components should be cleaned and sealed for storage.
