1Insert the power plug into the device220Insert the counting pen plug into the socket on the instrument inside the power socket.

2Turn the power switch to“open”The light in the counting pool is on, and the digital display should be“000”, indicating that counting is allowed. If the number is not“000”You should press the reset key.

3Transfer the culture dish to be inspectedPlace it on the white light board, turn on the white light,Lightly touch the colonies in the culture dish with a counting pen, and for each contact, the count will be displayed. At the same time, you should hear“toot”The sound indicates that the counting is valid, otherwise it should be emphasized. The selected colonies are marked with colors, and the displayed numbers automatically accumulate.

4Carefully check with a magnifying glass to confirm that there are no missing points, and the counting is complete. The displayed number is the total number of colonies in the culture dish.

5After recording the numbers, take out the culture dish. Press again0Key, display recovery“000”Prepare for counting in another culture dish.

Precautions

1The instrument should be placed on a flat and sturdy experimental platform for use.

2When counting bacterial colonies, do not tilt the counting pen too much and gently tap until there is a bouncing sensation“toot”The sound is sufficient, but if pressed too heavily, the counting pen may be easily damaged.

3Be careful to prevent bacterial contamination of the counting pool.

4The instrument should be moisture-proof, resistant to severe vibrations, resistant to direct sunlight exposure, and resistant to acid and alkali erosion. After use, it should be wiped clean and covered with a dust cover.

5If there is an issue with the instrument not counting, you can press the check button. If counting, it indicates that the counting pen is broken. If it still doesn't count, it means there is a problem with the instrument itself. If a malfunction is found, please do not disassemble it at will. Experienced technicians or our factory should be consulted for maintenance.
