On July 21-22, 2023, the 8th Chromatography Academic Exchange Conference and Instrument Exhibition in Central and Western China was successfully held at the Kaiyuan Hotel in Xining, Qinghai Province. In order to strengthen research in the field of chromatography in the central and western regions and provide a platform for communication and exhibition for chromatography workers, multiple experts and scholars were invited to give presentations at the conference.



Report on-site
Professor Yan Chao, Chairman of Tongwei, was invited to give a report at the conference titled "The combination of electrochromatography and submicron photonic crystal columns is expected to break through the current column efficiency limit of UPLC". Professor Yan Chao professionally introduced the effects and advantages of microfluidic electroanalysis technology in practical applications, as well as its contributions to energy conservation and environmental protection. For example, data shows that the separation column efficiency of electrochromatography is 10 times higher than HPLC, the resolution is 3 times higher than HPLC, and the separation speed is 10 times higher than HPLC; Traditional liquid chromatography technology consumes a huge amount of solvents annually, requiring nearly 1000 trucks (each weighing 6 tons) to transport, while microfluidic electric analysis technology only requires the trunk of a small car to fit.

During the conference, Tongwei Company set up a booth on site to showcase its latest products and solutions to experts and scholars, including evaporative light scattering detectors, liquid chromatography integrated machines, and analytical liquid chromatography systems. During the conference, we provided professional answers and suggestions to scholars regarding the problems and difficulties they encountered in their research and use.
