The ultra micro spectrophotometer combines liquid surface tension with micro sample retention technology to achieve precise detection of extremely low volume (0.5-2 μ L) samples. Its core principles and advantages are as follows:
1、 Sample retention mechanism driven by surface tension
This technology utilizes the surface tension characteristics of liquids to automatically stretch the sample into a fixed thickness liquid column (such as 0.05mm or 0.2mm) through capillary action when the upper and lower arms of the detection platform come into contact. This liquid column serves as the optical path, replacing traditional colorimetric dishes, ensuring the stability of the optical path and avoiding errors caused by inconsistent optical paths. For example, when detecting nucleic acids, 1 μ L of sample can form a uniform liquid column under the action of surface tension, with precise and controllable light absorption path. The repeatability of absorbance measurement can reach 0.002 (1mm optical path) or 1% CV (whichever is higher).
2、 Innovation in Trace Sample Retention Technology
Non consumable design: The sample is directly dropped onto the detection platform without the need for a colorimetric dish or capillary tube, significantly reducing the consumption cost of precious samples such as RNA and monoclonal antibodies.
Adaptive optical path adjustment: Some models are equipped with variable optical path technology (such as 0.02-1mm dynamic adjustment), which automatically adjusts the optical path through real-time absorbance data to expand the detection concentration range. For example, the detection range of double stranded DNA can reach 2ng/μ L to 27500ng ng/μ L, far exceeding traditional spectrophotometers.
Fast detection and high-throughput support: The detection time is usually less than 10 seconds, and some models support automatic samplers, which can achieve automatic sample loading, data storage, and formula calculation, meeting the urgent experimental needs.
3、 Technical advantages and application scenarios
High sensitivity and low detection limit: using UV enhanced CCD or silicon photovoltaic detector, it can capture weak signals (such as 0.5pg/μ LdsDNA), suitable for micro analysis scenarios such as gene research and proteomics.
Full spectrum scanning and multi parameter analysis: Supports 190-850nm full spectrum scanning, which can simultaneously detect multiple wavelengths (such as 260nm nucleic acid and 280nm protein), and evaluate sample purity and concentration through multi parameter analysis.
Environmental adaptability optimization: By using light shields, shock absorbers, and constant temperature control (± 1 ℃), the impact of environmental light, vibration, and temperature fluctuations on the detection is avoided, ensuring the reliability of the results.
