As a high-frequency laboratory instrument, the heating magnetic stirrer can significantly extend its service life and ensure experimental accuracy through scientific maintenance, regular cleaning, and precise calibration. The following provides practical guidelines from three aspects:
1、 Key points of daily maintenance
Operating Specifications
Before the experiment, ensure that the bottom of the container is flat to avoid eccentric placement that may cause the agitator to jump or the equipment to vibrate. During the mixing process, it is strictly prohibited to operate without load to prevent overheating and damage to the magnetic coupling. When heating, the stirring function should be turned on synchronously to avoid local overheating.
Environmental Management
The equipment should be placed on a dry and ventilated table, away from corrosive gases and strong electromagnetic interference sources. When not in use for a long time, it is necessary to cover it with a dust cover to prevent dust from entering the motor or heating module.
Component inspection
Check the insulation layer of the power cord and whether the plug connection is loose every month. Observe the wear of the agitator and replace it immediately if there are cracks or deformations on the surface to prevent debris from contaminating the solution.
2、 Cleaning and maintenance methods
surface cleaning
Immediately wipe the equipment casing and heating panel with a damp cloth after the experiment to prevent the reagent from drying up and corroding the surface. For stubborn stains, a small amount of neutral detergent can be used to assist in wiping, and the use of organic solvents is prohibited.
Internal cleaning
Regularly disassemble the mixing tray and clean the metal debris or impurities in the gaps of the magnetic coupling with a soft bristled brush. If there are crystal residues on the heating plate, soak it in warm water and gently wipe it off. Do not scratch it with hard objects.
3、 Calibration operation process
temperature calibration
Place the standard thermometer at the center of the heating plate, set the target temperature, and start heating. After stabilizing, compare the displayed value with the actual value. If the deviation exceeds ± 2 ℃, enter the calibration mode through the device menu and input the compensation value.
speed calibration
Align the photoelectric speedometer with the reflection mark of the agitator, record the actual rotational speed, and compare it with the displayed value. If the error exceeds 5%, contact the manufacturer to adjust the motor drive parameters or replace the encoder.
