What is the operation process of the universal electronic tensile testing machine?
Date: 2025-11-17Read: 0

The core operation process of the universal electronic tensile testing machine is The steps of "Preparation → Settings → Testing → Data Processing" are standardized and logically clear, as follows:

1. Preparation before the experiment

Check equipment status: Confirm that the host, controller, and computer are connected properly, the power and gas sources (if any) are stable, and the load sensors and extensometers are not damaged.

Sample preparation: Cut the sample according to the standard, measure and record the dimensions of the sample gauge section (such as diameter, thickness, width), and ensure that the sample is free of defects such as cracks and deformations.

Fixture installation and debugging: according to the material and shape of the sample, select the matching fixture (such as flat end fixture, wedge fixture), and adjust the coaxiality of the fixture after installation to avoid force displacement during testing.

2. Parameter settings

Start the system: Turn on the host power, controller, and testing software, and wait for the system self-test to complete.

Enter test information: Create a test plan in the software and fill in basic information such as sample name, material, specifications, gauge length, etc.

Set test parameters: Select the test type (such as tension or compression), set the loading speed and test termination conditions (such as automatic shutdown upon fracture or shutdown upon reaching the set force value). If deformation needs to be measured, activate the extensometer and calibrate it.

3. Sample clamping and testing initiation

Clamp the specimen: Place both ends of the specimen into the upper and lower fixtures, slowly clamp them, ensure that the specimen is centered and not subjected to pre tension, and align the gauge length segment with the extensometer (if used).

Reset to zero: Click on the software to reset Force value reset and displacement reset eliminate initial errors.

Start the experiment: After confirming that the parameters are correct, click Start the experiment ", the equipment automatically loads according to the set parameters, and the software displays the force displacement/stress-strain curve in real time.

Experimental monitoring: During the testing process, observe the status and curve changes of the sample. If any abnormalities occur (such as fixture slippage or sample deviation), emergency shutdown can be carried out for handling.

4. End of experiment and data processing

Shutdown and unloading of samples: After the sample breaks or reaches the termination condition, the equipment automatically stops, the fixture is released, residual samples are removed, and the fixture is cleaned.

Data analysis: The software automatically calculates indicators such as tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation at break, and can enlarge, annotate, and correct abnormal data points on the curve.

Report generation: After verifying the data is correct, generate a test report that supports exportExcel, PDF format, or print directly for retention.

5. Equipment shutdown and maintenance

Shut down the system: sequentially shut down the testing software, controller, and host power, and disconnect the air source (if any).

Daily maintenance: Clean fixtures and host workbenches, check fixture wear, regularly calibrate sensors and extensometers, and keep equipment dry and ventilated.
