Erichsen 430P electric grid tester from Germany
It is a universal instrument used for conducting various scratch and scratch resistance tests on paint and plastic surfaces. For test pieces of different thicknesses, a single engraving knife can be used for parallel and cross engraving (rotate the sample 90 °)

Electric grid testerThe 430P grid tester is a desktop instrument with a sturdy structure that can achieve stable and reliable engraving even under harsh conditions. The experimental process is controlled by PLC, and all parameters (engraving speed, engraving length, cross engraving mode) can be set using buttons. Each motion program (test piece transfer, engraving position, and required pressure adjustment) is driven by an independent stepper motor.
During the experiment, the sample moves in a straight line at a constant speed. Press the cutting edge onto the sample with the required pressure (50N). The transmission guide ensures that the test blade tip is on the sample according to the specified requirements. The supply scope includes two control boards for different cross engraving modes, which are easily interchangeable.
Electric grid testerThere are two types of 403P models, manual or motor-driven to regulate pressure. The manual test pressure adjustment is simple and accurate. The motor-driven pressure regulating instrument can also be tested by gradually increasing the pressure. The pressure required to achieve * engraving can be determined during the trial drawing.
A set of 5 weights are selected as accessories for testing in the low-pressure range. The test pressure is in increments of 1N within the range of (1-10N).

Electric grid testerThe 430P model can be tested according to general standards without the need for additional procedures. You can choose the following cross cutting method (number of cuts x distance mm). 2 × 5, 6 × 1, 6 × 2, 6 × 3, 8 × 1, 8 × 2, 11 × 1, 11 × 2.
Continuous automatic cross engraving with a hard metal blade tip at a speed of 40mm/s. Rotate the sample manually by 90 ° and repeat the cross engraving process. In actual trial drawing, the load requirements for scratching the coating onto the substrate can be identified. In the 430P-II machine (motor-driven pressure regulation), this requirement can be easily achieved through an automatic trial run.
When analyzing some standards, it is necessary to peel them off with adhesive tape. Adhesive bags will also be supplied to customers as accessories to meet ENISO2409 requirements (tape width 25mm, adhesive force 10N). The scope of supply includes a 2.5x magnifying glass for evaluating engraving. The appearance quality of most standards can be visually compared using standard charts (scratch gauges).
Although the adhesion test using the scratch method can be compared with each other, it is not suitable for comparison with the results of other test methods (such as the vertical pull-out test EN24 624). Because they are different processes.
