Doll relays are used to reliably cut off the power circuit in dangerous situations such as emergency stop, safety door opening, or light curtain triggering, ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment. The installation quality is directly related to the functional integrity and certification effectiveness. Only by following the standardized process of the Dold relay can we ensure that it must be turned off when it is turned off and that the protection time is not lost.

1、 Selection matching: Safety circuit design comes first
Select the corresponding performance level of the Dold relay based on the safety level (PLc to PLe);
Confirm the input signal type (such as emergency stop button normally closed contact, safety door switch), output load (contactor coil current/voltage), and number of channels;
Priority should be given to models with forced guiding contacts to ensure that faults can be detected.
2、 Installation environment and location requirements
Installed in a dry, ventilated, and non corrosive gas control cabinet, with an ambient temperature typically ranging from -25 ℃ to+60 ℃;
Stay away from high-power frequency converters, motors, or high-frequency equipment to prevent electromagnetic interference from causing misoperation;
Reserve sufficient heat dissipation space (front and rear ≥ 20mm) to avoid dense stacking affecting heat dissipation.
3、 Wiring specification: Separation of strong and weak electricity, independent circuit
Power connection:
Use independent fuses or circuit breakers for power supply, and prohibit sharing with other non safety circuits;
It is recommended to use shielded cables with a cross-sectional area of ≥ 1.5mm for the power cord?.
Safe input wiring:
Emergency stop buttons, safety door switches, etc. must be connected in series with normally closed (NC) contacts to form a "power-off protection" logic;
The input circuit must not be connected in parallel with ordinary relay contacts to avoid bypassing safety functions.
Output control:
The output terminal of the safety relay should directly drive the main contactor coil, and it is prohibited to transfer through PLC output;
The contactor needs to be equipped with auxiliary feedback contacts and connected to the feedback loop of the relay to achieve closed-loop monitoring.
4、 Grounding and shielding treatment
The metal casing of the relay is reliably grounded (PE) with a grounding resistance of less than 4 Ω;
If shielded cables are used, the shielding layer should be grounded at one end (usually connected to the control cabinet grounding bar) to avoid ground loop interference.
5、 Functional testing and validation
Check if the status indicator lights (such as CH1, CH2, RESET) are normal after powering on;
Simulate emergency stop pressing, safety door opening and other working conditions to verify whether the main circuit is immediately and reliably cut off;
Test reset function: It can only be manually reset and restarted after the hazard source is eliminated, and cannot be automatically restored.
