Maintenance points for Kleiber 840 high-speed thermometer
Date: 2025-11-24Read: 0
Kleiber 840 high-speed thermometerAs a precise temperature measuring device, daily standardized maintenance is the key to ensuring its measurement accuracy and extending its service life. Here are four dimensions of basic cleaning, core component maintenance, calibration and maintenance, and environmental and safety protection to summarize the simple and easy to operate maintenance points:
1、 Daily basic cleaning (once a week, simple and convenient)
Appearance cleaning: Wipe the instrument housing and operation panel with a dry soft cloth to remove dust and oil stains; If there are stubborn stains, you can dip a small amount of anhydrous ethanol and gently wipe them, avoiding the use of corrosive cleaning agents (such as acidic and alkaline solutions) to prevent damage to the shell and panel.
Optical lens cleaning: The lens is the core of temperature measurement and requires special protection. Gently wipe the surface of the lens with lens specific wiping paper (or dust-free cotton swab) to remove dust and fingerprints; If the lens has oil stains, dip a very small amount of lens cleaning solution (or anhydrous ethanol) and wipe it unidirectionally from the center to the edge of the lens. Do not rub back and forth to avoid scratching the lens coating.
Cleaning of heat dissipation port: Use a hair dryer (set to cold air mode) or a soft bristled brush to clean the dust from the instrument's heat dissipation port, ensuring smooth heat dissipation and preventing the instrument from overheating, freezing or performance degradation due to poor heat dissipation.
2、 Core component maintenance (once a month, focusing on key components)
Sensor maintenance: Check if the sensor probe is worn, deformed, or contaminated with foreign objects. If there are any foreign objects, gently clean them with a soft cloth; Avoid collision and compression of the probe. If damage is found to the probe (such as cracks or peeling of the coating), it is necessary to replace the original accessories in a timely manner. It is prohibited to disassemble it by oneself.
Connection line maintenance: Check if the interfaces of the power connection line and signal transmission line are loose or oxidized. When plugging and unplugging cables, grip the joints to avoid pulling the cables; If there are oxidation marks on the interface, dip a small amount of anhydrous ethanol to wipe the contacts to ensure good contact; If the cable is damaged or aged, it should be replaced with a cable of the same specification in a timely manner.
Battery/power maintenance (if portable use is supported): If the instrument is equipped with rechargeable batteries, the principle of "shallow charging and shallow discharging" should be followed to avoid overcharging (power off promptly after full charging) or complete discharge (charge promptly when the battery level is below 20%); When not in use for a long time, the battery should be charged to about 50% of its capacity and stored. It should be recharged every 3 months to prevent the battery from bulging and the range from decreasing.
3、 Calibration and maintenance (once every 6-12 months to ensure accuracy)
Regular calibration: The accuracy of high-speed thermometers may drift slightly over time, and they need to be regularly sent to the original factory or qualified third-party testing institutions for calibration. Before calibration, it is necessary to record the current measurement data of the instrument, and after calibration, check the calibration report to ensure that the measurement error of the instrument is within the allowable range (refer to Kleiber 840 original factory accuracy standard).
Self calibration operation (simplified version): If the instrument supports user self calibration function, a standard heat source with known precise temperature (such as a standard blackbody furnace) can be used to calibrate according to the instrument manual steps: align the probe with the standard heat source, wait for the reading to stabilize, compare the standard temperature with the instrument display temperature, adjust the calibration parameters through the operation panel until the error meets the requirements.
Calibration record retention: After each calibration, it is necessary to record the calibration date, calibration personnel, calibration results, standard heat source information, etc., and establish maintenance files for subsequent traceability and troubleshooting.
4、 Environmental and safety protection (long-term persistence, reducing losses)
Storage environment requirements: The instrument should be stored in a dry, ventilated, dust-free, and non corrosive gas environment, avoiding humidity (relative humidity ≤ 85%), high temperature (ambient temperature ≤ 40 ℃), or low temperature (ambient temperature ≥ 0 ℃); When not in use for a long time, it should be placed in the original packaging box and cushioned with cushioning material to prevent collision.
Environmental protection: Avoid direct exposure of the instrument to strong light, high temperature radiation, or strong electromagnetic interference during measurement (such as near large motors or frequency converters), otherwise it will affect measurement accuracy; If it needs to be used in harsh environments (such as dusty and humid), it can be equipped with a special protective cover and cleaned promptly after use.
Safety operation regulations: It is prohibited to disassemble the casing or core components of the instrument while it is powered on; When plugging or unplugging cables, the instrument power should be turned off first to avoid short circuits in the circuit; If the instrument malfunctions (such as inability to turn on, abnormal readings, or errors), do not repair it yourself. Contact the original factory technical support or professional maintenance personnel.
summary
Kleiber 840 high-speed thermometerThe core of maintenance is "light cleaning, damage prevention, regular calibration, and stable environment". Through simple daily cleaning, key component inspection, regular accuracy calibration, and standardized storage and use, it can effectively avoid problems such as increased measurement errors and frequent failures caused by improper maintenance, ensure long-term stable operation of the instrument, and extend its service life.
